New Churches, Ruins & Desert Buildings From 4Ground!
July 2, 2015 by brennon
4Ground are spoiling us this week with not only a look at their amazing new Church for the World At War 28mm Range but also a great new building for SAGA: The Crescent & The Cross AND some additional Fantasy terrain for the Ruins of Daldoor...
Going To Church
As you can see there is plenty to be going on with when it comes to their Church. As well as being able to get the Church as it stands you can also get the Church Collection which gives you all the additional extras including the gravestones, walls and gate.
I think this is going to be the perfect centerpiece for your games of Bolt Action. The big focus of the building is the amazing stained glass window that sits in the tower of the Church. It's a rather amazing piece of work even without the additional work on the rest of the building.
Desert Dwelling
Going a little further afield the 4Ground also has a neat Village Compound which could serve as a defensive location during your games of SAGA. This breaks up the existing range that little bit more and gives your tabletop a bit more of a lived in and personal feel which is neat.
The additional part to this structure is the bonus walls which help with giving you somewhere to hide. Of course you wouldn't just have to use these in your games of SAGA. Notably we used them in Infinity and also any kind of Modern Military game could also benefit from them we reckon.
Ruined City
Heading off into a Fantastical realm we also have the Ruins of Daldoor. If you want to help create an utterly blasted landscape then these terrain pieces would be perfect. I could see them being the ruins of a town or maybe somewhere a bit more holy.
Once again you have a nice degree of battle damage worked into the terrain with lots of loose and cracked brickwork. Additionally I think this could use a degree of weathering to make it look even more ancient.
I could certainly see someone making a nice compound out of these, a ruined holy military barracks or something. This kind of terrain is all begging to have some additional extras like scatter added to it. We could certainly make use of rubble mix or something with this.
Last but not least they are also doing a range of floor tiles which you can see above. They have plenty of cracks worked into them and could help to build on the ruins that already exists.
What is your favourite building from the new selection?

looks a brilliant church like strait out of the eagle has landed?
…your totally right!
That was my first thought 🙂
Hope the floor tiles come separately. Gonna use them to base my WH/KoW minis.
Middle Eastern style buildings are fantastic. When the spec-ops game from Osprey comes out I was going to use those 28mm minis from Spectre and make my own buildings. Not sure now…
Ruined city just in time (nearly) for Frostgrave
Curse you 4Ground, Curse you.
My bank balance was just about recovering from your last releases and now you’ve done this. How did you know! I demand that an investigation is immediately carried out to find the link between 4Ground and my bank manager.
Wow that church is stunning
You can get a fabled realm building for the same price as a length of wall :/ think their pricing is way off for this new range, won’t be getting these.
Preorder the ruins, primarily for Frostgrave. Going to add snow and ice plus a little winter vegetation.
Also looks like it would fit right into Mordanberg.
Wonder how the church would look in Mordenburg
That window ist just beautifully done…wow!!!
just love the look of 4grounds kits
Fantastic as usual from the 4Ground chaps
