Infinity Boot Camp Live Blog: Saturday
Blast From The Past: Who Are Haqqislam?
We explore one of the most enigmatic factions, Haqqislam, and delve into their background. These guys were destined to make a great feature table and so we used their world for our Desert Palace...
Haqqislam seem like a great faction, so many nice models!
Very true! And good scenery too
There really is a huge amount of depth to the background of infinity.
Still not sure if I like it all, but certainly a lot of world building.
Is there good fiction in English?
I’d love to see plastic kits tKe over this company…. The amount of customization and posses left to the hobbyist would be great! I like some poses but some are a little awkward…like the pointing of a finger with the sniper rifle on the back is…not something normally done in combat 😛
Can’t wait for the next themed week! Infinity is purely awesome!
Just love the Kum Riders, i am painting up a force entirely of mounted models as Sons of Anarchy Biker gang
I would love to field a full Kum Rider force although I don’t know if that’s possible.
Yes, that is possible. The regular troops have ‘total’ availability, wich means you can take as many as you want. Just expect them to hit fast and die fast. They are not the toughest troops in the game.
Also their ‘Extreme Impetuous’ characteristic can make them a bit difficult to manage tactically.
Thanks! Might give that a try sometime.
Really cool theme without falling into a lot of the common cliches when dealing with Islam
I torn apart between Haqquislam and Aleph, which one do you think is more different than Yu jing
They are both different in a different way. I play Haqqislam and think its main difference to the other factions is having a lot of light troops. That means a lot of orders to spend. While most armies can manage a single 10 men combat group for regular games I usually end up with two groups (about 12 to 14 models). The Hassassins add some nice specialists to the mix, each built for a specific role. Aleph probably has more technical/hacker support than Yu Jing. And if you take Myrmidons it will be more close combat oriented than vanilla Yu… Read more »
I’ve always been interested in Haqq.
Still need to paint my Haqqislam starter but great looking models in this faction.
the real question isn’t who are haqquislam, the question is, who are we? (not really, but I like how you guys are bringing back videos from the past!)
One of the most beautiful ranges in infinity.
Got to love haqislam. The bikers are too cool
It’s my wifes birthday tomorrow I wonder if she would buy it if I gave her some infinity miniatures.
Probably not.
More great backstory, keep it coming 🙂
One more of never seen videos.
Now seen. 🙂
Yet more interesting background.
Whanne win Operation Icestorm, looking very good, nice bootcamp, killer terrain
I had forgotten about Infinity week until the videos started showing up this weekend.
Haqqislam is my close-second favorite faction.
They are interesting
This is probably the best adaptation of the Islam theme in a scifi/fantasy wargame I’ve ever seen. Very nicely done CB.
Love the bikes
Too bad Haqqislam isn’t featured in the bootcamp. I enjoy the faction a lot. Not quite sure why they were left out as a choice. Maybe because the Ghulam with their regular Rifles and shotguns have some trouble closing the gap with Combi rifle troops? Or perhaps because the use of the Fiday is a bit more complicated than the other specialists?
Would love to hear the reasoning behind the force selection from a planning/strategical viewpoint.
Thanks for this chaps and Im getting a real feel for the game
Akira bikers! amazing!
The real Akira bikers are in Yu Jing.
