The first games are underway so we're talking with Carlos about what they're learning. The basics and all about the important use of cover are being drilled into them!

Carlos did you manage to involve Warren to play this time?
The thing about infinity is that the basics are very simple, but once you start mixing special rules and skills it becomes kind of a mess. There are loads of them!

Are the point costs for all the starters pretty much balanced?
The line troopers for most races seem to be quite similar.
Reaction fire is such a paranoia inducing rule.

I don’t get the reaction rulr. So every time you see someone you can shoot? Doesnt that stimulate camping?
No because you still have an advantage attacking, usually in the fact that you can use the full burst of your weapon (ie you have more shots) than the reacting player who usually only gets 1 in response.

I am still undecided at which faction to choose to start with. Tohaa seems the finest for me but still not many miniatures. I would have loved to have partecipated to this boot camp.
Its nice that they are learning precisely the way I have learned. Its kind of funny, I played my first game a couple of days ago, so we are about in the same place.
Never underestimate your bassic line trooper they have the same chance to crit as anyone else when shooting at you 5%.

Played a demo game like this with my dad once! I lost but we had a blast!

Hopefully this whole bootcamp and vlog will help promote Infinity goodness. It’s really quite a gorgeous, well put together game.
That’s a good way to start out, just using combi-rifle troopers until you get a hang of the mechanics and ARO’s.
Just came back form Infinity tournament and now I can watch those clips – great weekend 😀
