Happy Saturday!
Happy Saturday!!!? the beaver has left because a new beaver turned up. go team Justin.
I don’t think this has as many thumbs ups as this comment deserves
Hilarious !!!
Wooo, 40k! Now I just need hobby lab back on a Monday…
Yes more hobby lab please.
Justin looked much wiser with a beard.
Everyone looks wiser with a beard 😉
And you have to keep in mind, not everyone can handle the bushy weight of manhood 😉 ain’t that right @dignity lol
I watched the Warzone video yesterday and was thinking ‘my god Justin’s beard is getting impressive” now I log in today to find him back to baby face. Oh well he better get started on a new one!
no one is a wise looking or as manly as you Dave 😉
More 40k would be great. As for the live game (Twitch maybe?) that sounds cool but for those of us living in different timezones an ability to stream later would be important.
Yup everything would be recorded and available to watch afterwards
Happy Saturday! Great show. First I love the idea of boot camps but agree that it takes away from the content of BOW. I dread the weekend of the boot camps because it means no weekender. Loved the stories at the top of the show had me laughing especially the squash match tactics. Absolutely thrilled about the new live segment. I think it’s a great idea and something the community can benefit from. It will definitely motivate me to get a few more projects completed. This may be a sore spot for some but I would love to see a… Read more »
Wow… Justin you just went from sexy to…. meh.
Okay I have a question. You guys have had 3 new shows lately, warzone, KOW and WWX. How often will we get a new episode of each?
SChecking is currently being tightened up but basically these shows will fall on a Tuesday or Friday and each show will air every 4 weeks
The beard going is for the best Justin. It was beginning to look like you ate a bear and left the ass hanging out. 🙂
Yeah, I`d like to see hobbylab return.
Gah! XLBS on Saturday. So. Confused……
With you @dawfydd XLBS?…I must be so out of the loop…is this a new format?…
It’s just for this week because of all the stuff going on 🙂
Love the competitive edge Warren! I like the decision around bootcamp as your spot on it could reshape the business and we love BoW as the community space.
As too different scales great to see Warren itch the napoleonic interest with a 6mm Waterloo campaign!!
Looking forward to the future live plans as well sounds interesting, my only additional content I’d suggest is maybe a little more detailed stuff on RPG.
For the Bootcamps I suggest 4 a year. 2 before summer, 2 after summer, or maybe 1 per season. That’s roughly 3 months between bootcamps which shouldn’t be too much of a problem if you reuse terrain, I know the Bolt Action tables could be used in FOW or even KOW with some 4Ground terrain. The Infinity tables could also double for Warzone or 40K, just swap out some of the cleaner buildings for something gritty/gothic.
If you’re at Q-Con make sure to stop by the Relic Knights demo table and say hello to fellow Ninja Rory. Plus get a demo of Relic Knights while you’re at it.
Showcase a old game flintloque. Nepoleonic elves and dogs to much fun
I thought I was the only person alive who remembers that game
Love the beard drop 🙂 It was getting a bit wild.
@warzan Loved your story about sportsday, Could see it all in my mindseye.
Great show looking forward to next segment.
happy saturday guys….. can we have a paint your frog participation show 🙂
Worst cliff hanger since Desolation of Smaug…
I have been watching House of Cards.series 1 the Kevin Spacey character plays video games, series 2 as vice president he is painting ACW figures.
there’s a scene he’s painting and he’s using GW paints, but his brushes are knackered 😉
Anything I can do to help make some Relic Knights coverage happen then just let me know. From a purely selfish point of view I’m disappointed to see the bootcamps scale back as it limits my opportunities to attend them. That said, watching you prep for them on the blogs and seeing the DzC one, it has seemed like a lot goes into making two days happen. I would suggest scaling back on the amount of work you put into the gaming tables as many games can get by with rolling out a mat and plonking some terrain down, but… Read more »
And speaking of the educational benefits of gaming and ‘famous’ gamers, former education secretary and current Lord Chancellor, Michael Gove, discussed his role-playing background and the benefits it has on learning on a Radio 4 show following the passing of Gary Gygax a few years back.
But Micheal Gove is/was a &€*@!??
Bet he always played a LE Drow
Lol!
Sigh …… Justin

Surely the song shaved off his beard would be more appropriate

Now hes dead!!! Yeah great lyrics!!!
Thanks – was struggling to link this on my tab. The Kings of Leon bit is so true!
True Commodorerob, a much better choice , now if he kept his beard he could played this to his girlie.

Looking forward to the Battlegroup coverage. I’ve managed to get several of the books but not managed to get a game in yet. Not may players in my area. 20mm is a great scale. It’s right in the sweet spot between 28mm and 15mm. I’ve been tempted to run Bolt Action AND Flames of War with the same 20mm models. Other games I’d like to see more of: Osprey wargames line especially Lion Rampant. SAGA Muskets and Tomahawks All quiet on the Martian Front An Uncivil War Black Powder Hail Ceasar Too Fat Lardies has some highly regarded rules too.… Read more »
+1 for SAGA
You can but them all as pdf’s online
True but I like to have hard copies. I guess I am old fashioned.
@warzan with regards to battlegroup …. can I just say another why another WW2 Game…I understand that ww2 is the most popular historical period but can’t you delve into another historical period with a game?
BLACK POWDER
FIELDS OF GLORY
DBX
SAGA
To name but a few other none ww2 games
Fields of Glory would be soooo great!
Happy Sund… Saturday everybody and WHY JUSTIN, WHY :C
+1 for SAGA
Haha, I sneaked pass the “Duplicate comment detected”. 😉
I will see your +1 and raise you +2 for SAGA.
The Russian-Ottoman War of 1877 in 2mm deserves some extended coverage
I second koraski’s list.
But I’m also strangely excited about the 40k business.
Looking forward to more hobby shows too.
Boot camp wise I do appreciate your dilemma..you are simply too popular 🙂
But it makes me regret even more that I haven’t been able to make the BA one 🙁
Btw..Ed is from Framlingham/ Suffolk which is around the corner from me. Not Yorkshire 😉
Happy day before Sunday!
Completely understand about the boot-camps, wondered where that was going and although you get some Vlogs and live blogs out of them it isn’t your core purpose – especially now Warzan’s released the competitive beast.
Really? You never wondered why his tables had to be bigger, his tower taller, his sub greater-girthed? … actually that question is a job for a professional 😉
How about “40k codex Y: lessons learnt”.
