I have some Soviet flame-throwers but have yet to use them… that will be changing.
Thanks guys, great stuff as usual.
i wish i had had this video when i started with my Russian infantry, i love watching the soviet hammer fall! one rule that would be worth pointing out would have been the assaulting abandoned positions, very important if you end up with only one or 2 teams with in 4″.
Oh yes, more FoW content. I’ve been waiting for this.
Both this and the frontstage episode were pretty good.
Still a few small rules mistakes, but you did get across the way these tactics work.
Things like this is why FoW is a proper combined-arms game. It also demonstrates that there’s generally more than one solution to a given problem.
Making sure your army has the assets to deal with a wide variety of problems (and correctly using those assets) is one of the most important parts of the game, if not the most important.
interesting.
Just in case it’s not been stated enough, WE LOVE YOU DAVE. I don’t even play FOW but watching Dave and Warren go through these tactics is fascinating and entertaining. Almost made up for not being at the boot camp this weekend….. Almost….
How well do wasps in support as opposed to man pack flame throwers? Is the point economy there to make it work?
Yes they do. Wasps are really great. Especially when combined with some other British special rules. Keep your eyes open, maybe there will be something about them in a future episode 😀
If I’m going after Dug in Infantry I personal go with the Heavy armoured, Slow moving option of the Churchill Crocodiles
2 Confidant Trained for roughly 240-300pts with a Front Armour of 13
I don’t play FoW either but I really like this type of video. Going into the mental process and thinking about timing and order of things is useful exercise for any wargamer. I’m also really stunned by the depth of this game.
