Prodos Games have shown off the contents for AvP: The Hunt Begins as it's now available for pre-order over on their webstore. Once ordered you should have it in your possession a few days after the 30th of June...

While we love the look of the tiles and the extra components what we really want to see up close are the models. Below are the Aliens, Colonial Marines and Predators that will make up the three different factions in the game.
I'm not sure which of the factions I'd rather play in the game but the Aliens are looking like an awesome faction in model form and considering how much trouble they make for a unit of Colonial Marines in Aliens that seems like a good enough reason to plump for them.
Model-wise while these are renders they are looking very good indeed and I have seen a few of these in the past in reality so I know they can come up with the goods detail wise. The Alien tails are fascinating in that you might think they'd be prone to breaking but they were dropped and just bounced.
...maybe take that under advisement though.

Being a Tyranid player, I am going alien all the way.
The minis are nice!! Going to have to own a full set of it all … >:)
Those would make some truly excellent alternate Genestealer models…
I reckon 40 aliens, half a dozen predators plus a small platoon of marines should do it.

No, only the board game. I don’t think they have a clue how long the rest of the stuff will take to clear through Fox. The main part (the minis) have mostly been signed off but packaging and rules haven’t. I wouldn’t hold my breath.
I really hope I will be able to pick up my copy at the UK Games Expo. I can’t wait to get my hands on this!

Even if though I want it won’t preorder. Just lost the trust regarding promises and release dates made by Prodos.
Will buy it though when it realyl makes it on a shelf.

This and Halo fleet battles are the games that have created the most response from my local players. It’s going to be an awesome summer!

I have seen these in person, and they are every bit as stunning as they look in the renders, Prodos have done an amazing job!
does anyone know if the minis need assembling and what material they are made from
This is the left over from the KickStarter and are resin and will need assembling, the retail set later on is plastic, not sure if these are one piece or not.

Me and a friend have been waiting for this for sometime. Be interesting to know how they will support the game once it’s released i.e. expansions.
They hinted at the first expansion being “crashed ship on jungle planet”, and iirc the third one being urban. I think this game will get quite a lot of support tbh.

Colonial Marines all the way here. I’m just the biggest nerd for them to the point that I’ve cosplayed as one before. And I’m not ashamed to admit it!

Serious question now fellas, I really want this game but as someone has already said Prodos track record is…………. what?, dont want to throw £75 away on a pre-order that may never turn up, should i wait till wayland/other hobby stores sell it??, advice appreciated thanks.

I would get this, with the GBP at 1.90 CAD, I’ll have to pass. Not sure what’s up with the GBP these days, but it’s really killing their exports.
