New Units Soon On Pre-Order From Hawk Wargames For Dropzone
May 14, 2015 by brennon
A few of the new units for Dropzone Commander and its factions now have names and should be available to pre-order from Hawk Wargames soon. See what you think of them below...
Troopers Aplenty
The first two units to take a look at are the Legionnaire Mortar Team that will be blasting the hell out of the battlefield on foot rather than in anything armoured. In the set you get a Mortar Operator and a Spotter. Mortars are always a bunch of fun in games.
Taking a similarly long range approach are the Longreach Team from the Post Human Republic. These insanely 'cool' looking snipers prefer a more precise approach when it comes to bringing down their foes and it's going to be awesome seeing how people paint these up with a nice bit of digital camo.
Of course the Scourge and the Shaltari aren't to be left out when it comes to new units and they have two new sets that will also grace a tabletop soon.
Alien Awesomeness
The Scourge are first up with some brutal looking Eviscerators that come armed with a whole host of natural armour and weapons perfect for hunting down troops as the vehicles take on big threats. I can't wait to see more artwork of them assaulting a building.
The Shaltari call in the skills of their Ronin to deal with the enemies they're facing on foot. I'm not overly sold on the design of these models and I would have preferred the heads to protrude a bit more perhaps. I guess that wouldn't be as protective though!
Keep an eye on the Hawk Wargames Webstore to see when these go live to pre-order.
Which set do you like best?

I like the UCM and Scourge sculpts. The tough thing is to remember that these are tiny little guys – 10mm scale. PHR and Shaltari are good but not as appealing for me but I am sure those who play with them will be pleased.
As a PHR player I do look forward to getting the snipers, there are a gap in the army they slot nicely into
