New Factions & Boosters Unlocked For Vesper-On’s Home Raiders
May 11, 2015 by brennon
Vesper-On Game's Home Raiders is doing exceptionally well on Kickstarter and that means some factions have been unlocked. The fans have voted and it was the Lords of Dust who were unlocked first followed by the Fair Folk...
Penguins Of Power
The first of the factions unlocked as we mentioned above were the Lords of Dust which focuses on some really funny models like (from left to right) the Protectors, Royal Guards, Cleopetra, and the Scarab Master.
The other bonuses can be seen above which include a Priest and a range of Penguin Mummies. I think this is one of the funniest factions in the game and I can't wait to see the models. It's going to be fun seeing how they play on the tabletop and what other Penguins are going to join their ranks in the future.
Fey Folk
As well as those classy Penguins there's also the addition of the Fair Folk to the world of Home Raiders. I love the fact that you could go and play your games out in the garden with these folks...
As you can see the Fair Folk booster is still locked (at the time of writing) but it's going to include an angry Leprechaun and two Fauns. The actual faction box has a Centaur, Peter (of the Pan variety?), a Sylph and the Lost Ones might be part of them too.
Have you chosen a faction yet?

I don’t get the design decision of Egyptian penguins. I like the general idea of the game and the other factions have some basis in folk lore. But the penguins? First thing I thought of after seeing them was Club Penguin.
I think your right, very odd, lets hope the other are better.
I do – itys game you can play with kids – and this is faction for my daughter – she loves them ! crazy love man. all kids love penguins. Just saying.
Mummy penguins are awesome…
The penguins are amusing, but I am more interested in getting the fey folk.
The Lords of Dust are my favorite faction presented so far. There’s nothing like them out there…NOTHING.
Mummy penguins…too cool.
I think all of the factions are neat and look forward to seeing more, but the Lords of Dust are the most original minis concept I’ve seen in a long time.
Look forward to more great stuff from Vesper-on Games!
=)
I definitely have to agree with the original idea on the penguins. with my local friends, it is either they enjoy them or don’t at all.
And that’s the benefit of multiple factions. Not every faction will speak to every player. Well, usually. I seem to always “have to catch ’em all.”
=)
I agree completely that ‘The Lords of Dust’ whilst thematically are awesome – in visualisation dont really make sense to me… BUT They do to my wife. A person who has never liked ANY figures or games I have – THIS IS HER GATEWAY! So for that alone they are the best faction in the universe! (my Girls have piked the Faeries, my son the Space police and myself Gremilns.) What a fantastic game that we can all grow and expand together. Just got to wait till OCT until the pledge is hopefully fulfilled.

I think more sculpts are necessary, the penguins are interesting?…. not sure the gaming group is going for it
I am definitely going for the Lords of Dust. It’s not that I like penguins or mummies. Rather it is because it will be the ONE army in all my vast collection of miniatures where the thick layer of dust is a good thing. Heck it’s like self weathering!
Also I can put some glue on the bases then roll them under the bed to get a nice thick “flock” on there!
