A huge thank you to the wonderful community members who joined the team today, Dani, Ian, Rich, Ben, Dave, Dawn & Gianna; you guys did a fabulous job. Big thanks also goes to Grantt Ennis for running one of the best participation games we've seen at Salute...if we say so ourselves!

What a wonderful day!

Warren, Lloyd, Justin and the BoW Crew

I went along to my first Salute today basically based on the vids from last year. Absolutely fantastic.

Came back with Guild Ball stuff and Wild West Exodus. Very pleased with the purchases.

Up until Beasts of War I thought wargaming was Warhammer and historical full stop. You really have done a great job of introducing a much wider more creative world than that.

Thanks for spoiling my life in a really good way!

The Guild Ball stuff looks fantastic, and their stand was chock-a-block all day. The guys’ enthusiasm for their product was infectious, and while I didn’t commit to buying anything at Salute yesterday, I’ve spent all day so far today on their website trying to work out which of the gangs I like the most 😀

A massive thank you to everyone at Beasts of War for todays live blog. I’ve been keeping up with it and it’s such a nice feeling that you’re doing it live. Really makes us who couldn’t go to Salute feel involved. It’s like I was almost there. Cheers for showing us the shineys!

A big well done to Grant as well for creating what looked to be a great experience for everyone. Hope this leads to great things for you.

BOW: opening the eyes of the world to the many, many possibilities of gaming, and its close associates – building minis, painting, converting, and creating tables and terrain from commercial or scratch-built sources or any combination thereof. Battle of Hoth – sorry I missed that. I must get to Salute. It looks like one long Christmas morning all day long… Very well done folks – I have been watching on and off all day. There are many big media organisations who couldn’t pull off such an interesting set of presentations and interviews, and of course Grant can put the Hoth… Read more »

Had a great day at Salute, my first visit and well worth the trip – tried out some new games, picked up 7TV and Dead Man’s Hand (which I doubt I would have done otherwise) but Grantt’s Battle of Hoth provide the highlight of the day for me when Vader walked up and said “You’ve put my legions in the command of a child?” and some of the Rebel players replied “Yes, and she’s doing a pretty good job as well.”

Thanks guys.. Now I get to see all the bits I missed.

Aw man, 7TV! I knew there was something else I was looking out for! Completely passed that one by.

Curse you Salute and the sheer amount of AWESOME you manage to cram into one big hall! 😀

Thanks to everyone involved for the coverage, really enjoyed it, this live blogging system is great at giving a taste of the day as it is actually progressing.

Well done to the team for the Battle of Hoth, I think the pictures of the players on the games blog page, with everyone from 10 year olds to 40+ all smiling and having fun together with that game is a testament to what you all achieved. That is everything wargaming is about as far as i’m concerned.

It was the first Salute for the wife and I and what a great day. We were both impressed with the Hoth table…well, what we could see through the three-deep crowds! BoW you have outdone yourselves and I hope you get to enjoy a relaxing beer…or two.
