The Infinity Sci-Fi Urban Terrain looks terribly bland to me. IMO, horrible color selection, too. Also the cathedral feels pretty boring, I know not every manufacturer can pull off the level of detail (and price – unfortunately!) that 4 Grounds delivers, but that were too little for my taste.

I’m very impressed with the Infinity stuff, and that they realised that outside of a few ITS scenarios, fighting room to room just doesn’t really happen.

That cathedral is huge. Seeing a knight next to it really gives you a sense of scale, I also love the pews in there, makes it feel very ominous. Keep up the good work BoW. We love you guys!

I’ve said it before but we really are in such a golden era for terrain design and manufacturing, and the products we are presented with as a result. Never before have great gaming tables been within such easy reach of gamers (if you can justify it – or win it!).

The 40k set is begging for some detail work. I love the openness of the cathedral. I keep seeing terrain set up for infinity, but it will work just as well for MERCS. I am glad to see the company was able to drop the interior details, it should save them some money as well as keep the retail price down. I hope there are floors inside, in case I want to build out the interiors.

I think I would create lots of rubble to clutter up the cathedral set – all that missing roof, walls and so on has to have landed somewhere, and rubble creates cover, impedes vehicles and so on. Boy it’s a biggie…

The details of the 40k stuff are sorely lacking but it makes up for it in sheer size. The infinity stuff looks very good.

For a starting table this stuff would be cool to use. But personally I’d use a different paint scheme and add a lot more details like skull reliefs and aquila to make it really pop.

I think it looks great. I remember as a kid being ecstatic about the cardboard ruins that came with 40k. But now a days i’m not sure people would bother even putting those together when there is great looking stuff like this available at such a good price.

That is some wonderful terrain. I’m surprised that I nor my game club has ever heard of this company. Truly beautiful terrain. We are avid 40k players and I can’t believe we’ve never heard of this company. Got to look into it more.

I like the modifications from their old range. Really, Infinity players do not really play inside the buildings.
The infinity style building looked amazing! The really big wide acrylic windows made it look really sci fi and open than so many other buildings.

I like that they responded to player feedback, and helps in pricing for us to build bigger tables. Like the elevation changes. 40k stuff is huge, but that is good with the current large model stuff I guess.
oh I was looking for some terrain for infinity, those buildings are looking great, love the transparent balconies and the bridge. I am starting Infinity but only have medieval terrains so a couple of those plus a few new smaller plastcraft will be perfect !

Is this card plastic or mdf/hdf, I’m one of those gamers who likes to interact with the interiors of the buildings in Infinity, but that 40k stuff looked great, especially that cathedral.

Stick magnets everywhere and swap Cygnar, Cryx, Menoth and Imperial symbols for max reusability! Looks great really. The infinity one is not as amazing as the one from Plasticraft but i have to say is really effective and freaking huge, only a matter of price-product ratio to see if works.

Interesting to see that the designers are taking into account how players are actually using the scenery. I know I tend to treat buildings as blank boxes to go around rather than ones which you can go into. Partially I think thats to do with the annoyance of dealing with models in and on top of a building at the same time!
It’s so hard to choose which terrain to go for now they are all looking more awesome..

Nice idea with the cathedral and the open space. Most “cathedrals” I have seen in terrain lack the scale to justify the name. Nice to see one big and bold but also open enough that you can fight through it not just around it.

I enjoyed putting to gether the prepainted buildings for Infinity. Pretty basic design but fills the table really fast 🙂

That Infinity stuff looks brilliant. I agree that it’s nice to have interiors, but they rarely get used and are a bit fiddly at times, to be honest. Having a set up with lots of different heights for rooftops and balconies helps make the game much more interesting without being as fiddly. I really like the look of this, will probably pick some up as soon as i can!

Yes! Perfect size cathedral for the 40k universe. I like the fact that miniatures can move in and around it at varying levels. It is a little plain, but that just means more room for customisation for the individual, make it “your own”. The Infinity stuff looks great as well, and would look good in any “clean” sci-fi environment. I reckon it could do well in a cyberpunk setting too, maybe with a bit of darkening. Also, clever… a pretty lady in Dalek t-shirt, just got every geek’s attention 😉

I really like the transparent blue railings on the balcony and other locations on the Infinity table. As for the 40k table, would that terrain also work for 28mm WW2 action? The tower reminded me of the sniper tower from the last battle in Saving Private Ryan.

That terrain (just as shown in the video) looks fantastic for 40k. That roof on that church type building is fantastic. Great that you can squeeze a titan in there too!

Impressive stuff from Bandua. I would love this set for my 40K games but the first thing that came to mind was be using it for Judge Dredd – Undercity or Cursed Earth. Great how you can really personalise this terrain. I’m actually surprised so few players used the inside of buildings but then again I’ve only played one demo game of Infinity – which was great!

I like the effect they got on the buildings and just so simple by just adding some weathering powder on basic grey spray, very effective.

Yeah, both those sets look awesome. I love the scale of the 40k terrain. Buildings are great, but if you can’t fit stuff into and around them then they get old real quick, so I love that the cathedral can fit something like an Imperial Knight or a Riptide.
