Nothing Is True, Everything Is Permitted With Rebel Minis Assassin
April 16, 2015 by brennon
Rebel Minis have posted up on Facebook that they have a 28mm scale Assassin in the works and he bears a very striking resemblance to a familiar assassin that used to live in the Holy Land...
While trying not to detract from the work of the painter I don't think the above scheme is doing the model any favours. The actual model underneath it all looks like it's actually quite good and I could see this being worked into a larger game like SAGA: The Crescent & The Cross fighting against both sides as would be his way.
It also makes for a perfect opportunity to think up an interesting game featuring a team of Assassins going up against Templars trying to protect a target as he's escorted through a city. I reckon that could make for a neat tabletop experience.
What do you think?

He looks fine, but I can’t help but compare him against the Guild of Harmony version of Altair.
And very few sculptors’ work compares favorably against Sebastian Archer’s.
Not bad at all.
I’d love to see Assassins Creed made into miniatures. This one’s is OK I suppose, but I can’t see it being shortlisted for best sculpt at the 2015 Beasties.
