River Horse Show How Easy It Is To Put Together Their Terminators
April 2, 2015 by brennon
River Horse, who are developing the new Terminator Miniatures Game, have put together a video above showing how easy it is to put together their new Terminators. Interestingly these go together with no glue - dry fit!
Watch the video above to see how it all goes together thanks to the workmanship of Renedra who are helping with the production. The game itself is going through the final playtesting phases as you can see below...
...which means hopefully we'll start to see some more finalised aspects of the game and miniatures in due course. Have you been keeping a close eye on the development of this game?
You can keep tabs on how things are going over on their Facebook Group where Alessio himself posts up a lot of updates as to how things are going.
Will you be joining in when this releases?

they look good.
Those are rather neat.
Wow are those production models? Thanks so cool!
They look very nice, and it would be easy to assemble and paint up a massive army of these too. Of course I’d have to rust and weather the hell out of mine. I can’t wait to get into this game.
Three parts and you’re ready to go. Almost to easy.
Awesomeness coated in candy sprinkles.
very cool, that’s how the pro’s do it. robotech rpg tactics could learn alot from these guys.
Wow! This game is going to be really good for the hobby! If all the models are that easy to build this might really bridge the gap for potential gamers who are intimidated by have to build and paint and army. Plus it’s an instantly recognizable IP. Exciting stuff!!
very neat idea, what is the scale for them?
They are 28mm …..
I like that!
am I the only one who still thinks the models look terrible? They’re like something Reaper miniatures would have put out in the 80’s 🙁
Nope, they is ugly!
Those human minis look particularly dire!
The human minis in the picture above are pound shop plastic solders for play test…….
If GW had put something out as god awful as that, it would be like a sith lord gathering in this thread lol.
Im pretty sure expectations on GW would have been higher, and also the price tag. As expectations are continually getting lower for GW (up a bit with the mechanicum perhaps), they could soon release something like this and get away with it. If the rules are good for these its not that important if the minis quality takes a back seat, imo.
I’m glad you put Imo at the end of that, I almost thought you was being serious 😉
But that goes for most games though dont you think? You can still have fun with a game if the rules are superb, thats not to say i dont think these minis look bad 😛 I would have wished for alot better considering the license we are talking about here
River horse “I’ll be back… With better sculpts”.
I’m with you, laughingorc. As board-game pieces these T-800’s look OK, but nothing more. On par with Zombicide miniatures, maybe a bit worse. They’d be OK for a casual gamer, for a dedicated hobbyist – not so much, IMHO.
Also, I don’t understand, is the plastic grey or silver? Silver plastic looks CHEAP AS HELL.
Sorry but the models look garbage to me, then again I was out when I heard tale of a “Fate Dice”.
Why is there a pic of an anorexic Necron on here?
Oh, its a Terminator.
I did wonder.
Gotta say I’m not inpressed with the minis either – I was expecting great things from this and must confess to be a little under-whelmed.
I’m sure I used to get stuff like this in a kinder egg.
They look bad
Guys…really…are you missing the point here on purpose??? This is designed to be an easy entry to our hobby…nothing aimed at exp. tabletoppers to sink their teeth in (although you could…just for the fun of it) And I think it does a great job at that. Great big recognizeable franchise…easy to assemble !poseable! figures…easy rules for cinematic play. Dont anyone tell me that if you had something like this as your first tt-game..you would not have gone crazy about it!!!
But it seems they made the minis quite ugly on purpose too, wich is annoying
My entry to the hobby came via HeroQuest and Space Crusade, followed up with Space Hulk. All three had (for the time) excellent miniatures – and you only have to look as far as the 90’s Talisman or Warhammer Quest boxes if you’re looking for games that are an easy entry to the hobby but that come with great quality miniatures. Hell, some of the Talisman figures are still regulars in our RPG games XD
… I think you’ll find those humans are just standard ” green army men ” from the toyshop 😛
that’s what it looks like to me anyway 😛
the terminators look pretty good for quick assembly minis 🙂
especially for an entry level miniatures game 🙂
… and the articulation is a fun little detail too 😀
makes me wonder what else could be achieved with a bit of clever thinking 😉
… renedra sprues, eh ?
… they set up GW plastics starting from 3rd edition 40’K, they’re very experienced,
… but wallet says ouch (X , X) ha ha
I agree that as an entry point to the hobby this might be ok. I think, however, that if you’re marketing toward the non-war gammer than I wold suggest not including the sprue at all. They should cut them out and combine them into the various models. This result would be a product that would be even less intimidating.
I don’t want to be negative. If we view this as a gateway game than I think this might be ok. As a collectors game … not so much.
I’ve not seen a photo yet that does the Endo’s justice. I have seen them in the flesh, so to speak, and they are good models, the alternative sculpts are better. The human models in the picture are generic army men as the real models are not yet in production. That picture is from a play test. The game is my all time favourite from the last 20 years of playing………
good to hear
yeah, I thought they looked like just simple toyshop green army men 😛 ha ha
glad to hear the rules are good 🙂
I already got a Skynet themed army. A huge one. And I use the EM4, Copplestone and Forlorn Hope Terminator/Alien Robot miniature lines. I prefer them.
