Check Out Those Radiation Readings With Figone’s Evans
April 2, 2015 by brennon
Figone have added another Sci-Fi miniature to their collection sculpted by Stéphane Camossetto and painted up (in the version below) by Marc Masclans. See what you make of Evans who is off into the wasteland...
Clad in body armour and with a very awesome looking helmet he looks like he has been sent out into the wasteland to hunt down someone or something while dealing with the dangerous radiation that no doubt threatens him if he dares take off his suit.
I like the pose of the model but the gun arm is a little bit weird for my tastes. I would have preferred him to have the gun shouldered rather than hanging down like that as I think it makes him look a little unnatural.
A very cool trooper that would be worth taking your time over when painting!
What do you think of Evans?

A lovely model but I agree about the gun arm – if Evans was drawing a pistol from a drop leg holster then it is in the right position..but since Evans is carrying a rifle, the arm might look better if it was straight or as you say, if the weapon was resting on his shoulder.
He’s got an odd C3PO pose. The site, on the other hand, is packed with beautiful mini’s!
Maybe he’s just a protocol droid in really cool armor and fatigues….
weirder things have happened.
Interesting that you think his gun arm looks odd because I find his left arm is the odd looking one – elbow too high too look as though he is naturally holding that console. That said his right arm is too far out from the body. I think the sculptor has lifted both elbows out away from the body too much, possibly to make the figure look more imposing? Great concept and nice looking model all the same with a stellar paint job. 🙂
