Tabletop-Art Take You To Ruins & Distant Planets With New 32mm Bases
March 25, 2015 by brennon
Tabletop-Art have put together three new sets of scenic bases for use with Sci-Fi and Fantasy gaming and they now come in 32mm size. See what you make of the Ruins of Sanctuary, Scrap Steel and Meteoric Surface sets...
The first of the base sets to look at is the one for Ruins of Sanctuary which would be great for use with something like a Retribution of Scyrah army or even Sisters of Battle for Warhammer 40,000? In saying that I could see any highly devote army on the tabletop doing well with bases like this.
Second up we have Scrap Steel that I think would work nicely for something like Orks in Warhammer 40,000 or maybe even that new Veer-Myn army you've been thinking about with the success of Deadzone: Infestation. Imagine the bases as the surface of a space hulk or rok as it's hurtling towards some distant planet.
Last but not least we have these Meteoric Surface bases which are a lot more plain in comparison to the other two but no less exciting for hobbyists. You could paint these up in a variety of different colours and they could match the surface of different planets which is quite nice.
One thing I thought you could use them for is a lava world since the type of rock they've used on the bases is very similar in look. It would give you the opportunity to play around with some lighting effects underneath the models then!
Not a bad selection of bases!

Love the sanctuary stuff. I’ve used a lot of their bases for PC’s and command groups. For sci-fi, I’m thinking that for my naval characters I will re-purpose my old video cards and boards. Anyone else tried this? Not sure how well it’s going to cut with my drill and hole attachment.
