MYTH Journeyman Ending Soon & Dark Frontier On The Horizon

MYTH: Journeyman from Megacon Games has done insanely well on Kickstarter and unlocked a whole swathe of stretch goals that add heroes, monsters and more to the game. As well as that they also revealed a whole new game set in the world of MYTH...
As you can see there are loads of awesome bits and pieces coming to backers of this Kickstarter and once again it looks as if Megacon have made a commitment to make sure that they support this game in the coming months and years.
The reason I've highlighted the Ranger/Duelist and Weaver/Elementalist above is because I think they look the most epic of the lot! I think when painted up the Elementalist especially is going to look amazing. Imagine the amount of object source lighting and interesting blending you could do with his skin!
Dark Frontier
As I mentioned above there is also a new board game coming to the MYTH universe and it's called Dark Frontier, made by Adam and Brady Sadler. The game was revealed to their Kickstarter backers and it looks like it could be really fun!
More about the game...
"Dark Frontier is a cooperative adventure board game set in a desperate land of shadows. Players take on the role of iconic heroes from the world of Myth, aiding the besieged city of Farrenroc in its never-ending quest to stay the consuming Darkness. Together the heroes must venture beyond the safety of “the Rock” in order to take back the land that has become corrupted by shadow. By fighting back minions, rallying the support of the people, and eventually turning back an apocalyptic siege, the heroes must stand firm against the Darkness...or else the Four Kingdoms are doomed."
...making the game sound like a nice mix between a dudes on a map game and heroic adventure game.
"We wanted players to explore, fight monsters, collect valuable resources for their city, and build important structures in the surrounding afflicted lands to hold back the tide of invaders. Another important element that we knew we wanted in the game from the beginning is the sense of a looming Boss, commanding his minions from the shadows and biding his time until his plan violently unfolds."
I think this sounds like a great way to utilise the miniatures that gamers already own from the MYTH games and use them for a really interesting co-operative adventure.
Have you pledged for MYTH: Journeyman?

I agree @brennon, being able to use the same miniatures in another game set in the same world is a fantastic idea. Some of the Dark Frontier tiles have the mention “Dungeon”… Could this be another way of extending an already well thought “campaign system”?
Could work as a nice companion game – especially if it uses the same heroes and such. Play both alongside each other 🙂
