Speed Into Action With Jetbikes Added To Deadzone: Infestation!
March 24, 2015 by brennon
Deadzone: Infestation from Mantic Games continues to be powering on through the funding levels on Kickstarter and they've unlocked some really cool stretch goals including this epic Jetbike!
Above is the Enforcer Jetbike that looks like possibly one of the coolest thing they've ever bought out. I think the rider looks natural in his more 'super bike' ride position and the actual jetbike is a very functional vehicle. I think it's the right amount of sleek and heavy duty at the same time; much like the Enforcers themselves.
As well as the regular Enforcers on their jetbikes you also have Blaine showing up once again as a Kickstarter exclusive on his own more feral looking jetbike. The whole thing has become a weapon of sorts with that blade on the front!
Dog Drones, Terrain & More...
As well as the jetbikes we have some additional bits and pieces for you to pick up alongside your existing pledge level. The first up is the Dog Drone that you can see below and while I like the idea of it I think it looks a bit goofy. Shame really as I think they could have made this look a bit more maneuverable on the battlefield.
As things move on you've also got some additional terrain options for putting together your Battlezone terrain packs and finally they have the Brood Mother for the Veer-Myn. The concept art looks great and hopefully its a BIG model to dominate over the regular Veer-Myn in the game.
What do you think so far?

Really like the jet bikes. Hope they do a crashed scenery piece as well.
That jetbike does look really promising.
I’m already resigned to spending an obscene amount of money on those jetbikes – heres hoping for a few more light vehicles like them, they really blow the DZ1 vehicles out the water.
There was significant amounts of criticism around the drone dog, mantic agreed to bring it to the studio, so we will get something different.
And the jetbikes are cool…hopefully they will come up with consistent ruleset for highspeed vehicles
That is a nice jetbike with a bit of a Starwars feel to it.
Now that’s a jetbike! Dog drone… hardly a stretch goal incentive for me.
whilst I like the design, I’m a bit lost as to how a jetbike would work on such a terrain dense 2×2 table
Easy one :
First action : full speed forward (4 cubes)
Second action : roll to avoid collision (8+) : failed. –> crash
Crashing would be hilarious. I suspect it would have agile and hover/glide. Certainly the bikes already in game add a nice amount of unexpected bursts of speed as it is managed to murder a brokkr in one of my games that my opponent thought safe by moving round him and clear shoting from the back. I’m excited to see what they come up with as a replacement DOG drone – hopefully something a bit more agile looking. although I do like the idea of keeping those designs as some sort of mobile enforcer command and control module, deploy it to… Read more »
At least it doesn’t have a clown standing straight up on the back.
Very nice jetbike design!
I seriously hope it will come with specific rules. Giving them just agile is a bit lame as it would mean it can go as fast as some trooper on foot…
I expect these to give a feeling of jetbike in return of the jedi…
