Does Dark Heresy need Daemon Hunters?
June 15, 2011 by beerogre
Well it looks like Fantasy Flight Games have taken the plunge and given us a brand new Dark Heresy sourcebook... this time it focuses on the Daemon Hunters...
The book contains more weapons with which to tool up your characters and a mix of new career paths along which you can advance.
But is it necessary... or do you prefer your acolytes of the grim future to be under equipped and barely sane?
Here's a preview of one of the new career paths by which to judge...

I think the main draw of playing Dark Heresy was that you were like you said in the article – without clout and barely sane lol. Adding Demon Hunters too it seems like they are coping out a bit and making Dark Heresy more in line with Deathwatch – which I love, but yes.
Will be interesting to see more of it and how it will work but I wouldn’t have dipped into the marine pool for DH.
What I would like to see is being able to have a retinue of GK working with an inquisitor.
As said above, I think this would have been a better suppliment for Deathwatch. Not sure if you can actually play as a Grey Knight character in the book, but there seems to be a strong focus on them.
On the other side I’m really liking that we get more background on Ordo Malleus.
Hmmm interesting, another 40k rpg game i had heard of inquisitor and deathwatch but this is new. I was thinking of starting one
It’s a suppliment for Dark Heresy. You still need the Dark Heresy core rulebook to use this book.
I think this provides rules to play a GK with either DH or DW rules. Might be interested, but I think I am more interested in some baddies I can throw at my party. Hopefully there are a few expanded deamon rules to play about with.
