The Voltigeur Walks Its Way Into Warzone For The Cybertronic
March 18, 2015 by brennon
Prodos Games have powered up the circuits and flicked all the switches as they bring The Voltigeur to life for the Cybertronic of Warzone: Resurrection! This new walker will be available from April 1st 2015 - no joke!
As you can see it's a pretty insane piece of kit that is covered in all sorts of creepy looking weapons designed to make you die a horrible death on the battlefield. As well as the big guns on its back it comes with the four drones you see around it that will be supporting it on the battlefield.
Model-wise I think this one is pretty awesome and they've managed to get a Matrix vibe to the front end of it with those bug eyes staring blankly forward. I think the little grabber arms at the front might be a bit goofy though and I'd be tempted to take those off but I'd love to see one painted up!
Do you collect Cybertronic?

That is very nice model.
That thing looks great and it puts the detail on my Black Widow to shame! Hmm I wonder if there is room in the hobby cupboard for a Cybertronic force..
I’ve been thinking about Dark Legion or Cybertronic as my second faction – although I still need to paint the Blood Berets sitting on my painting station first for the Imperials <_< BoW Ben
I think Dark Legion make an excellent second choice because although everyone can fight everyone else, the Legion are clearly the bad guys and a Dark Legion vs Anyone matchup makes a lot of sense, particularly if you are lending your army to someone so you can play against them.
That said, the Undead Legionnaires are absolutely no fun to build and paint IMHO. Necromutants, on the other hand (also another troops choice for the Legion) are much nicer.
Cool walker. Slung low, like a tank, with nasty weapons mounted high on the frame. The claws look functional — useful for clearing obstacles.
Really impressed with the minis for Warzone. Whats the game play like? I’ve seen a few battle reports but be interesting to hear the thoughts of BOW supporters.
Gameplay is dynamic and individual activation gives a lot of ‘heroic’ moments for fighters. I think there are still some really spammy lists out there that are just impossible to beat but they’ve been working on errata and FAQing things like that out of the game which is good.
I don’t like it as a mass battle game either as I think it takes too long but as a skirmish level game with a couple of squads and some interesting objectives (some of them secret of course) it makes for an enjoyable few hours of play.

cheers Brenbobs!
Out of curiosity Ben, which spammy lists are you thinking of? Lists that are heavy on the light vehicles (e.g. Purple Sharks)?
Those are the ones – God damn Purple Sharks. Although, saying that I heard that they had sorted out some of the problems with those lists.
I’ve seen many of the models for this game and I must say the renders don’t do them justice. This walker will be better than what we see I’m confident of that.
That looks like it offers great possibilities for dedicated painters.
