Garphill Games Set To Raid The North Sea This March
March 14, 2015 by brennon
Garphill Games, the minds behind the awesome Shipwrights of the North Sea (which I reviewed for the website HERE) will be back on Kickstarter soon for the launch of their next project, Raiders of the North Sea which takes the Vikings further afield!
So far they've shown off this impressive looking board which shows some of the places you can raid and more of the actions that can be taken on various spaces of the board. As a Viking you'll be placing your workers in the right spots for the maximum efficiency each turn and hopefully plundering enough gold and more from the outlying settlements to impress your Chieftain.
If it's anything like the previous game then you'll also be using these characters to influence the different actions that you can take and both aiding yourself and tripping up others as you fight. I love the artwork for this game by the way which is all done by the talented hand of Тхе Мичо.
I suggest you check out the review for the first game as it's a very solid worker placement and card drafting game worth a look.
What do you think of the artwork?

Shipwrights is a very fluid resource management board game, with beutiful designs. I’d prefer it if Shem made the style a bit more different, unless there’s meant to be some sort of overlap or compatibility.
Looking forward to this. Between Shipwright. Blood Rage and this – there’s a themed evening of games!
That looks nice, will check it out.
