Get Exclusive Look at Painted Butchers as Guild Ball Rules Go Free
March 9, 2015 by dracs
It's exciting times for Guild Ball fans as their Kickstarter pledges will be heading out in the next couple of weeks. The teams are currently getting their studio paint jobs and we have been given an exclusive look at how four of the six Butcher's Team starter line are looking.
Here we see the players Shank, Boiler, Ox and Brisket, all painted up and ready to get playing the beautiful game. The studio paint job is a beautiful piece of work on these minis, and really captures a lot of their character. Bloody to the elbows, these players won't be afraid to wade into the scrum.
Following up after the Butchers, we recently got our first glimpse at the metal models for the Masons Guild.
The Guild Ball miniatures are among the best metal sculpts I have seen. The Masons definitely keep to the awesome artwork we saw for them previously and I for one can't wait to see what their studio paint job is like.
If all these minis have you wanting to play a game of Guild Ball then you are in luck as the full rules are now available to download completely free.
This includes all of the various tokens and stat cards needed to play the game, as well as printable paper character representations, meaning you have everything you need to play right out the gate.
Things are really picking up as Guild Ball races towards its release date. As I said, the Kickstarter pledges will be heading out in the next few weeks, with retail going out at the end of the month. This is definitely a game we are looking forward to seeing more of and hope to get a few games of it ourselves.

Looking forward to getting in to this
The minis are great, colour scheme is a bit red for me but still stunning. The final version of the rules book is beautiful. 7 days til metals start shipping and I cannot wait.
It is a “sports” team after all, and red seem the right colours for the Butchers
Only sad I only got two of the teams, and not all of them
Those look really nice.
I cannot wait for these to arrive. Like you @rasmus really regretting only getting two teams (and not all of the KS exclusive captains for that matter). Went for the ‘classic’ feeling Butcher-FIsherman face-off and can’t wait to try and do these minis justice. Time to turn to my new Giraldez book methinks…!
I got four and then enough union to do a union team, kinda wishing I had gone for a few more bits, but 5 teams will be more than enough hobby material to keep me busy.
@rasmus I see what your saying about the red, just visually didn’t work as well for me as the fisherman’s scheme did.
It may also be that I seem to end up using red at least as an accent colour on most my projects barring some historical, and realistic Sci-Fi
I am getting the butchers and the brewers – I may have to add the fishermen and the masons when they come to retail
I will be using red a a accent colour on my butchers.
Got them, fishermen, masons and morticians coming with the union. Do wish I had grabbed brewers as well. In the end went with a hitty team, fast team, balance team, control team.
This really does seem like the best sports mini game on the market just based on the quality of the minis alone.
