What’s Coming For Flames Of War? Vietnam, WWII & More!

March 6, 2015 by brennon

Battlefront have gone through some of the upcoming stuff coming your way for Flames of War. It isn't just going to be World War II that claims the focus during the first half of the year...

Open Fire Boxed Set

As most of you know the Open Fire set is getting a change at the end of March and will come with new rules material alongside some additional plastic tanks for the British Sherman V/Firefly and German StuG.

Brown Water Navy

Next up is Brown Water Navy which continues the wargaming in the Vietnam War, a type of Flames of War game that really excited us here at the studio. Battlefront are heading back into the jungle and the Mekong River for a bit of naval warfare on the big rivers. Don't worry, I'm sure there will still be plenty of ambushes.

Colours of War

Colours of War Inside

Colours of War is up next and should help everyone who has problems with how to paint, and indeed what colour to paint, their World War II tanks alongside of course plenty more from Vietnam and the battling in the desert that is the Arab-Israeli War.

Berlin

Last but not least is the finale of the Soviet attack on Germany where they roll into Berlin and start taking apart the last remnants of the German army. This was a brutal period of fighting where there were many dirty tricks employed by both sides to try and ensure victory, or indeed stem off defeat.

As well as all that there's plans to expand the Great War selection, dive into a new period of war around the Cold War, and check out more Pacific theatre warfare with two more books towards the end of the year for the US and Japanese. Exciting stuff.

Do you like the sound of what's coming out for Flames of War?
