The Enlightened Grace Warcradle’s Armoured Clash February Releases
January 28, 2025 by brennon
Warcradle Studios has revealed what will be popping up as part of the February releases for their 10mm wargame, Armoured Clash. The Enlightened are making their presence known in the Dystopian Age with a new Faction Battlegroup Starter Set and an Introductory Set.
Enlightened Faction Battlegroup - Starter Set // Armoured Clash
We start with the Battlegroup Starter Set, which is your perfect introduction to the faction and its role in Armoured Clash. It comes with impressive vehicles, troops, characters and more that will help bring the Covenant of the Enlightened to the table. The massive miniature in the set this time is the Super-Heavy Surveyor and/or Extractor.
Wells Super-Heavy Surveyor // Armoured Clash
You can build this as the Wells or the Horsell and it then acts as a perfect battle platform from where the general can survey the action and direct the flow of battle. It carries a weapon dragged from the Wells Chasm which is more powerful than anything the other factions of the Dystopian Age have faced before. Dangerous stuff!
From the very big to the very small, we also have the likes of the Citizen-Soldier Command Contingent who have been dragged from all corners of the world. As Warcradle mentions in the article, it's hard to resist the augmentations and upgrades that the Enlightened can bestow on you once you join their ranks.
Citizen-Soldier Command Contingent // Armoured Clash
As well as the Citizen-Soldiers that will make up the majority of your foot troops, you've also got troops suited to different roles like the Brute Enforcer Cohort who will be bringing their own suite of heavy weapons to the battlefield.

A mixture of lab-grown limbs and augments, you've also got some towering elite troops like the Heavy Construct Devastator Cohort which has enough arms to deal with any threat that rears its head.
Heavy Construct Devastator Cohort // Armoured Clash
More infantry can be snapped up, all with different augments including the Seeker Outrider Cohort which should terrify even the best scouts as they get run down by blades and bullets. All-in-all, the Enlightened can draw on some rather spiffing infantry which you should go and check out on the blog HERE.
More strange vehicles and contraptions complete the set with the likes of the Strider Cav Cohort giving the Enlightened their alien and uncanny feel.

Talking of aliens, you've also got the Mars Battle Tripods which might speak to the eerie origins of a lot of the technology that the Enlightened make use of. Beam weapons galore hose down the enemy and reduce them to piles of molten metal and bone.
Mars Battle Tripods // Armoured Clash
As with all of the Armoured Clash factions we've seen so far, the Enlightened are unique in their aesthetic and, by extension, their play style. It means that if you've not been enamoured by the Union, Crown or the Empire then perhaps the Enlightened could end up swaying you and getting you involved with this 10mm wargame.
Here's a good look at everything that you're going to get inside the new Enlightened set...

🤣🤣🤣
I have been looking forward to these coming and I am not disappointed. I am hoping that when aircraft turn up for the Enlightened have flying saucers.
That’s the big end level machine from the Will Smith classic Wild Wild West!
Actually, Will is a turrible actor, but the movie was fun.
A superb new addition to the game!
I’m definitely also waiting for Imperium, but I love how these look. It also offers a nice different aestethic for those looking for a more Sci-fi look. With the US land train, it seems Warcradle is definitely keeping the different factions interesting!

I must admit Warcradle’s Armoured Clash definitely gives off a more “Epic 40K” vibe than the 10mm GW game. The different factions and colourful paint schemes just add to that 90s ascetic, and the rules are just in the one book (rather than GW’s endless publication of rulebooks every six months or so). Although the Wells Super-Heavy Surveyor definitely NEEDS a general/commander wildly waving a sword around on the top of that thing 😀 BUT the one thing I would LOVE to see come out would be some narrative campaign books with FIXED army list/factions (like the old WFB campaign… Read more »
