Happy Sunday!
Normie snagging is a great pursuit. Admittedly it does indeed need to be a catch and release sport as generally it’s frowned upon to keep the randos after the day’s event and herd them into the back of a van. For the cross pollination of going to airshows and military events those seem to be a lower wall to scale for getting into people’s heads. Perhaps pulling Marvel Crisis Protocol, BotWars and similar IPs to comic conventions there could be a second angle of approach to a market of people willing to shell out exorbitant amounts of cash on things… Read more »
It’s a very windy wet Sunday. Again.
Cheers for tagging me project chaps!
Me names Jason for when the inquest starts.
A note, wargames foundry skellies are the best. COME AT ME! COME ON THEN!!!
Stop disparaging my army of 400 wargames foundry skellies, they are superb.
I nearly died making them, but they are superb!!!
ah yes … actually building the armies I’ve been collecting.
Yeah, that’s my kind of plan going forward as well.
I’ll probably end up adding even more to my collection, but I shall attempt to do something productive and get a few bits out of their boxes at the very least.
Happy Sunday COGz an OTTers 👍😁
Walking Dead. Proven track record of snagging normies. Buy-in from a TV series. Boardgame-esque mechanics a bit. Easy to teach. Good model range. One person can be the gaming advocate and have plenty for two to play with, without the newbie needing to buy anything. Walking Dead for the win.
But the AI learns the more variety you say Gerry 🤔
In regard to the Partworks, the magazines are essential garbage unless you’re a newbie. I don’t think the complete collection is worth bothering to collect in it’s entirety unless your new to GW. They are great value to pick up select mags to add units to your army at a bargain price.
So in 2019 you had Snag a Normie and Covid immediately followed…..Coincidence?
2020, we only did it cause we knew there was no chance we’d actually have to talk to anyone
Squares John always use square’s John.
Santastic show guys. Love the way the theme was woven through the whole structure (from Gerry’s mentoring of John’s KOW list) through to main discussion. Inspirational theme too.
Let the wookie WIN ?
I’m a member of the Tamworth Games Club, and we put games on at Tamworth Castle, (in the Great Hall ),we’ve also put on games at The Royal Staffordshire Regiment museum and we’ve also been asked if we’d like to put on a game at Middleton Hall. We have our own games club venue in Tamworth town centre and quite a healthy membership. The feed back we get from these variuos venues has always been very good, hence we get invited back when they are doing themed events asking us if we can put on something relevant to the event, and we… Read more »
Good show today guy’s
Happy Sunday.
A very undead heavy episode this week which makes me very happy.
I think that little girl puts a few of us in the community to shame as well, with how much she’s painting. I haven’t painted a miniature for a few months now.
I’d say games like Gaslands, with its movement templates (no tape measure needed) and toy cars (very familiar to almost everyone) would be an excellent introduction to wargaming. From that you could move into small skirmish games like Frostgrave, where you don’t even need to go a full 10 per side.
Sunday… meh. 00:00 Checking it once, checking it twice 01:15 oh shaking shack? 02:45 Flying shingles! 04:45 KoW?
