To be clear, I didn’t host a party JUST to play MCP, that was a bonus. I hosted it to celebrate my friends, the family I have chosen, as well as play A LOT OF GAMES. The people I surround myself with are as diverse a group as their tastes in games. We had games of all ages and backgrounds going as well as some play testing going on as I know a number of developers. My lovely partner brought in the custom made cake Sat so our sweet cravings were solved. That’s me in the classic Dungeons and Dragons t-shirts.
I arrived at the hotel Saturday morning around 8am to find my friend Chuck had checked in the night before and was already awake and setting up Dune Imperium. After I met with staff and verified what was being delivered up and when. I set up a pretty MCP table as a Show and Tell before joining Chuck because “The Spice Must Flow” Great board game, with multiple routes to victory that really feels like it came from the pages of the book. Bonus that there are plastic Sand Worms.
There were morning and afternoon snacks put out as well as hot and cold drinks all day. We played until about 11pm Saturday night and started up again at 9 am Sunday morning with a couple guys playing a board game in the restaurant as they ordered breakfast. As many of us had to be at work Monday we closed it all down by 9pm. Such a great time with such fun folks that I have decided to start saving up to do something similar next year.
The final gallery is pictures of my MCP stuff as it is an MCP blog after all.
