USSS Science Away Team - Part 1
With the publication of Schlocklog Issue 4, a large battle was detailed and, in it, the availability of Science away teams. I decided to start and emulate this battle order, starting with the science teams. While I was at it, I also implemented the Science and Engineering officers introduced in Schlocklog #1.
As I detest having repeated miniatures in skirmish games, preferring a group of individuals to the uniform ranks of traditional wargames, i was faced with creative choices, such as repurposing Starschlock ‘citizens’ into science crew members and enrolling other ranges, such as Heresy and Bombshell Miniatures, thus introducing aliens into the USSS Corp. Given the difference in miniature attires, I followed loosely the uniform standard set in USSS Explorer Corp part I.
The first away party is composed unlikely of Heresy and Bombshell miniatures and contains two science (one ‘not Spock’ and 2 engineering members as well as a communication specialist, carrying suitcase no doubt full of diplomatic documents.
Remember, the uniform colors are as follow:
Science and Medicine – Blue
Engineering – Yellow
Communication – Green
I unified the team by painting them with identical color bases and vegetation. so as to make it easier to sport on the tabletop.
