A Bretonnian Wyrm Slayer Comes To Warhammer: The Old World
January 7, 2025 by brennon
Games Workshop dropped another surprise miniature preview this week for Warhammer: The Old World. The Wyrm Slayer, Sir Cecil Gastonne, will be joining Bretonnian armies soon to hunt down deadly beasts across The Old World.
Sir Cecil Gastonne // Warhammer: The Old World
Don't let the moustache fool you. Sir Cecil is a monster killer extraordinaire and earned his title after defeating the terrifying Norndrak the Tyrant. The hide of the creature was then turned into the Dragonhide Cloak that he now wears and protects him from damage as he swings his axe, Sorrow's End.
Should Sir Cecil Gastonne slay any monstrous creature in your battle, he will gain the Terror special rule for the rest of the game making him quite the potent hero to include in your army. Set him amongst your Foot Knights and go hunting down terrible creatures in the name of The Lady.
Rules for Sir Cecil can be found in Arcane Journal: Kingdoms of Bretonnia!

Couldn’t have been that big of a dragon, more like an iguana. Look at the size of the thing’s head, worn as a trophy on Cecil’s helmet! Puny. This guy’s just a bully!
Or just an ugly dog… xD
Jokes aside, I think I’d prefer the mini without the crest and wings. Then again, I guess it’s a Bretonnian thing.
Nice. I may pick him up to lead a unit of foot knights, although the knights themselves will be coming from victrix, when they eventually release their dismounted crusader knights
That axe looks like something from a chaos warrior or an orc. Not a fan.
