Dropzone Commander: Operation Artemis Miniatures Teased!
December 23, 2024 by brennon
TTCombat are currently revealing more and more miniatures for this month but a few caught our eye more than the others. You might remember Project Hunter which was teased this time last year. Well, the game now has a proper name and we're seeing our first 10mm Sci-Fi miniatures for Dropzone Commander: Operation Artemis.
Operation Artemis // TTCombat
Dave and the team have been working on Operation Artemis for a while and now we're seeing the fruits of their labour. It will see the Post-Human Republic, fresh off their conquest of the Tlalocan Moons, heading out to hunt down Megafauna. What do you use to take down Megafauna? Well, a mech of course!
Type 9 Heavy Walker - Agas // Dropzone Commander: Operation Artemis
The Type 9 Heavy Walker can be fitted with a variety of different weapons but the Agas has been designed to take down Megafauna from range. It comes armed with the RX-1 Firehammer Railgun and a pair of Miniguns. Whilst designated as a ranged mech, it does also have the Beastslayer Blade which can slice through the hide of rampaging Megafauna.
Talking of Megafauna, what kind of creature needs something as big as the Agas to take it down? Have a peek at the Minotaur.
Minotaur // Dropzone Commander: Operation Artemis
This is one of the largest creatures that you'll encounter when heading out on the hunt. It's so powerful that it will need a few Post-Human Republic Walkers to bring it down. The Minotaur can tear apart metal with those claws and crush opponents using its bulk. This will be a prize kill to bring back to display in your mech hanger.
This all sounds great and it will be fascinating to see how Operation Artemis plays on the tabletop. Additionally, there are meant to be all sorts of Megafauna in the Operation Artemis box so I am very intrigued!
This sub-game for Dropzone Commander will be coming out in 2025 so watch this space!
