Crusaders Hit The Battlefields Of Conquest From Para Bellum
December 16, 2024 by brennon
The Hundred Kingdoms get some excellent new miniatures for Para Bellum Games' Conquest: The Last Argument Of Kings and First Blood. Crusaders are gearing up and getting ready to head out onto the battlefields of Ea to destroy those that would threaten the Hundred Kingdoms.
Crusading Noble Lord // Conquest
Noble Lords take up the mantle of the Crusaders for many different reasons. It could be spiritual or simply one of power. The main focus of these Crusading Noble Lords is to destroy the enemies of the Hundred Kingdoms, bringing together many different troops from the roster alongside the zealous Sicarri, Archangels and the masses of the Militia.
Backing them up, you have the return of the Errant Of The Order Of The Shield to Conquest.
Errant Of The Order Of The Shield // Conquest
The Errant Of The Order Of The Shield is tasked with protecting the citizens and peasants of the Hundred Kingdoms. These warriors fight alongside the light troops that make up the Hundred Kingdoms and are perfect for slotting in alongside the likes of the Militia in your armies.
Zealous Soldiers & Towering Saints
The Hundred Kingdoms Crusading armies feature a brand new unit in the form of the Sicarii.
Sicarii // Conquest
The Sicarii are the bodyguards and enforcers of the Theist Church. They go into battle unarmoured but are allowed to carry fearsome-looking blades. The majority of the Sicarii are raised from orphans and become devoted and deadly warriors who fight on regardless of their wounds, driven by their faith.
Sicarii - Details // Conquest
Armed with their armour-slicing cleavers, they are also boosted by the spells and incantations of the faithful within your army. Unleash this army on your foes and watch them scythe through the unbelievers and the heretics!
Another of the stunning new miniatures for the Hundred Kingdoms is the immense Archangel.
Archangel // Conquest
These Archangels are faith given form amongst the Hundred Kingdoms. They inspire those on the battlefield to fight on and the set comes with options for both an alternative head and also various weaponry so you can make different Archangels for your army.
Archangel - Details // Conquest
They can choose from a greatsword or a shield and spear. Their battlefield role is to inspire those around them to fight on but also they are perfect for holding objectives. It will be hard to break the Hundred Kingdoms' lines when one of these monsters stomps onto the battlefield and stakes its claim.
New Supercharged One-Player Starter Set
Capping off the newest pre-orders for Conquest, we also have a new One-Player Starter Set for the Hundred Kingdoms themed around the Crusaders.
One-Player Starter Set // Conquest
This set comes with a Crusader Noble Lord, Female Noble Lord, Sicarii, Men-At-Arms (remixed), Crusaders and Mounted Squires. This means that you can get your hands on more of the new and revamped miniatures for the Hundred Kingdoms as part of this set alongside some older ones.
The set also comes with all of the cards, tokens, dice, rules and more that you need to start playing games of Conquest. If you like the new theme of the Crusaders in the Hundred Kingdoms then this might be the set to get you started. I think this might be one of their best sets.
What do you make of these new miniatures?

Wow! These are beautiful! The Archangel especially is just stunning
Yeah, I think I might have a new favourite (sub)faction…
What? No foot-on-rock poses? What a concept! (Ok, the Archangel has one but he’s walking it off XD)
They do really look nice.
Parabellum revolutionising the state of the hobby with the Foot Off Rock Pose™️, or FORP for short. It’s a thing.
While I can never being myself to abide Conquest’s stupid proprietary scale or being a rank n’ flank game over 15mm, I will admit the style of these guys is pretty awesome.
Yeah. It makes it really tough to snag some of their infantry minis if you mainly play in the standard 28/32mm. I really like the Errant of the Order of the Shield, but he’d look like Shaq compared to the rest of my guys!
And if you DO decide to play Conquest, all the 28/32mm terrain you’ve been making or collecting all these years will be a bit on the small side by comparison. Oh, well…
The Archangel is absolutely gorgeous. Not quite sure where I stand on the game yet, though. I’ve had one game of First Blood and whereas I absolutely slaughtered my opponent, I’m not sure I liked that! It felt like I had stumbled on some strong combination and my friend hadn’t. Their bones tell stories of their own now…
