Saga Worthy Heroes Available From Medbury Miniatures This Month
December 4, 2024 by brennon
Medbury Miniatures has shown off the brand new array of Fantasy releases that will be coming to Patreon for the month of December. This is another great set of saga-worthy heroes for you to use in your 28mm wargames but they wouldn't look out of place in Historical games as well.
Beowulf Fighting // Medbury Miniatures
Leading the way, we have an ace miniature representing Beowulf as he would have been fighting against Grendel. With fists at the ready, he is going to go toe-to-toe with the creature and finally bring a measure of peace to Hrothgar's hall.
A range of other characters are popping up as part of this offering, both on foot and mounted. They all fit very nicely into the tales of Beowulf and the various factions that would have been fighting during the period.
Garulf // Medbury Miniatures
Some of my favourite miniatures from the new offerings for December are the female warriors that Medbury has been working on. The Reluctant Shield Maiden is fantastic and would be a brilliant option for those wanting a new Eowyn or maybe even Hera if you want to go down the route of telling the tales of War Of The Rohirrim. Heck, Beowulf would be a good Helm Hammerhand!
Reluctant Shield Maiden // Medbury Miniatures
Sticking with the idea of representing a Shield Maiden of the Horse Lords, you've also got this Venerable Shield Maiden who comes mounted and on foot with shield at the ready. She could be the one to bring the Witch King low.

All of these miniatures would be great for your Fantasy wargames but they would also be good for Historical wargames set during the Dark Age. Plenty of these figures would be a solid option for Warlords.
Saga Personalities // Medbury Miniatures
Don't forget that if you're looking to get your hands on miniatures like these from Medbury then you can snap them up directly from Medbury or Infamous JT you can go through here in the UK. The sculpting is great and it would be folly to miss out on picking at least some of them up for your wargames!

Interesting sculpts. If the pictures would be bigger/showing more XD
Nice, remind me a little of Mithril.
