Early War Soviety Infantry Hits The Battlefield From Empress
December 3, 2024 by brennon
Empress Miniatures recently added a bunch of new 28mm metal miniatures to their collection for those fighting out the Early War period of World War II with the Soviets. There are four packs for you to choose from, all in different poses.
Early War Soviet Infantry // Empress Miniatures
Empress Miniatures has a great selection of miniatures in proper action poses, handy for supplementing other ranges in plastic. The miniatures feature soldiers firing, charging, aiming, bellowing, stabbing and more.

You also have versions of the soldiers prone, aiming with heavier weapons than the ordinary rifle. You've even got a fellow with a bloody big explosive, ready to blow a hole in the enemy defences.

With these four different sets, you could easily make up the core of your Early War force in 28mm. You'd just need a few character miniatures to use as the commanders of your army and away you go!
Spanish Nationalists
As well as the Soviets, you can also get this very characterful set from Empress featuring Spanish Nationalists and the Nationalist Command Group.

This set of miniatures has been based on propaganda illustrations and photographs from the period when a Republican prisoner was being forced at gunpoint to say how nice Franco was. Franco does indeed feature in the set as well! A fun set of miniatures for those who want to build a diorama or vignette.
Are you going to be scooping up some of these new miniatures from Empress?
