I consistently find that the start of the project is usually the most difficult. Trying to pick colours and work out placement usually presents a challenge that I have to think on for a bit before inspiration hits. Then, once I’ve picked a direction, I’m usually off and running.

For this mini, I knew generally what I was looking for: Christmas colours, with some other contrasting spot colours. I knew red and white for sure, but not only those. What other colours and where?

I went looking for inspiration. Not sure how, but I found this statue:

The Kindlifresser (Child Eater) of Bern. Delightful. The Kindlifresser (Child Eater) of Bern. Delightful.

The origins of this 500 year old statue seem to be lost, but it’s spot on for a KD Anti-Santa. The greens, yellows and blues are what I was looking for, and the placement would work well.
