Separatist Call On Clanking New Droids For Star Wars: Legion

Atomic Mass Games have even more fun miniatures on the way for those playing Star Wars: Legion battles during the Clone Wars! Two brand new Separatist sets are on the way early next year and pre-orders are available right now.

Leading the way are the Aqua Droids! All of these new droids across both sets will be familiar to those who watched the Clone Wars TV show and I can see them being a much-welcomed addition to the droid-based armies of Star Wars: Legion.

The Aqua Droids or AQ-Series Battle Droids give you a set of proper heavy support options for your Separatist armies. The set comes with one Aqua Droid Leader, two Aqua Droid Troopers and an Aqua Droid Heavy.

If you're looking to spruce up your Separatist forces then I could see this set going down very well indeed. I think they should be rather fun to paint as well, especially if you went down the route of painting the various armour panels as they have above. A good option for those wanting to set up themed and narrative-based scenarios as well.

The Crab Droids come with deadly claws for tearing through armour, formidable laser cannons and heavy armour of their own. They are great at both long-range AND close combat which makes them a solid addition to any Separatist army.

This set comes with two of these LM-432 Crab Droids which are going to be another bonus for those looking to enhance their Droid-only armies on the tabletop. I really like the idea of doing a themed army based around a more aquatically inclined Separatist army. You could do some great things with your bases and a more battered, perhaps rusty, paint scheme.
