I’ve decided on adding some Cuman warriors to my army as a band of mercenaries. The history of the people along with the style of armor has won me over. This all comes from trying to wrap my head around how to balance out figure numbers and various sculpt options. The Scorpha figures offer troops with heavy weapons and that is one thing I’ve tried to find as printables or just consider how much time and effort would be required to scratch build. The end result from my work to try and kitbash would not be as pristine as I’m starting to require of my figures.

This decision comes after receiving a box or Late Romans plastics, metal Tagmatic cavalry and various shields and transfers from Gripping Beast and Little Big Men Studios. This Balkan horror theme is definitely going to go well as I believe goblin wolf riders should be the next addition. As a proper fantasy unit the right armor is just the only issue. Maybe I should dig into the mythology again to justify having goblins. There might be a version of them among the panopoly of Balkan monsters but I don’t know and it’s a point that I don’t want to spend money on minis that have no place.
