New Veteran Infantry & German WWII Bundles From Warlord Games
October 25, 2024 by brennon
Warlord Games are taking pre-orders for some new sets of miniatures and bundles following on from the announcement of the Armies Of Germany book which is coming to Bolt Action early next year.
German Veteran Infantry Platoon - Bolt Action
The first of the new sets up for pre-order is the new Veteran Infantry Platoon which will work as the core of your German army. This represents soldiers that would have been fighting in the bitter campaigns of the East and through the ruins of Stalingrad. This turned mere recruits into hardened and grizzled veterans in no time at all.
This set comes with enough components to make thirty miniatures with a range of different weapons and equipment. You can make soldiers with the classic Kar 98 Rifle, the MP40, captured Russian submachine guns, Lugers and flare pistols. You've also got options for the two MG34 light machine guns and more specialist weapons like the GrB grenade launcher, anti-tank rifle and flamethrower.

This allows you to make a selection of different units from the German army. You can make Platoon Commanders, Heer Infantry Squads, Feldgendamerie/Feldjagerkorps, Sturmpionere and also specialist teams.
If you like the sound of this set and you'd like to turn that into a larger force, you can also get your hands on the German Veteran Infantry Starter Army which allows you to get started in Bolt Action with these Veteran Infantry units as the core of your army.

New HQ units or are these simply the “warlord resin” variants of existing metal sets ?
I hope they follow the same pattern for all the other ‘armies of …’ releases.
A refresh of the entire range is always nice, if a bit expensive if you want ’em all 😀
Such a revealing artwork! 8)
Wow, for once I’m impressed with the sculpts from Warlord! No gurning faces, oversized hands and limbs – new sculptor, maybe?
Good Lord…… Has Warlord FINALLY done a Heer Box of plastic after doing endless boxes of “elite” German Infantry types? Now it’s just up to Bolt Action Players playing German Forces to get with the idea of basic infantry (like all the Allied Forces) and be weened away from fielding rather ridiculous “min maxed” army lists and ditch things like Tiger IIs in favour of the more common Stug and other army options that made up the bulk of the German forces. As a side note, did you know they stopped making the Sd.Kfz. 234/2 (Puma) in September ’44 (they… Read more »
I think the guy holding the yellow bag is totally huffing model glue.
