Third theme week in a row. In all seriousness: kudos to the team for pulling this off. I’m not going to try to imagine the work that went into all of this. This is why I am a Backstager. Or CoG. Or OTTer. What ever you prefer. 🙂
I am comment to win, and you can, too!
Good video, I’ve never actually tried playing Infinity, but this edition might be the one.
It’s a really in depth game but the core concepts are straightforward
Thank you for all the content. You guys have been busting your asses off.
Good luck all
Infinity looks really interesting, but I’m always reluctant to get involved in games that have been around a long time because of the feeling that I can never catch up. The new N5 edition looks like a great place to start for new players, though, so hopefully I can win a copy.
Question: Will the Yamabushi figure that comes with pre-ordering Operation: Sandtrap be available separately later? It is by far the coolest figure in the set.
Pretty much my thoughts! Infinity seems to have been around forever, I always got the feeling it would be a big investment in time to get into it but this time maybe I will!
Infinity is pretty new; I used to buy Corvus Belli when their market was only 15mm historical … they were very small as a company. But had awesome 15mm figures. They specialized in DBA. 2.0/2.1/2.2 sets. They were among the best at what they did. I had Greek and Romans from CB.
Add: I looked it up! Infinity launched in 2005.
So only 19 years old.
2001 – CB starts as historical 15mm minis
2002 – Warcrow 28mm launches
2005 – Infinity!
Etc.
Nearly twenty years old is not something I would consider “pretty new” in this context. That’s almost two full decades. There are people who are now adults that were born AFTER Infinity released.
Sure, just like there are some who started gaming with D&D first white box edition here.
Some who remember a world without computers. The internet! Who watched the Soviet Union collapse. Who lived without the always connected-ness of phones. VHS movies in your home, or BetaMAX if you were weird. When physical format died, and Blockbuster, too! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together… mass hysteria!
Remember when TV would actually turn off at night?
It’s all perspective, I guess.
There are also some people with grandkids. Maybe even great grandkids! Imagine that!
The possible scenarios are ENDLESS!
I’m quite happy with how the fireteams were toned down, and the other small rule changes too.
I am very excited for N5. Can’t wait to make a list. Great rules changes.
These new rules look really great. I love the changes to fireteams. I Will be sad to see so many sectorials from PanO go. But I underskabe the decision.
All good news. Looks like nice reset of the rules.
Looking forward to getting stuck into this one!
I may be brand new to this game, but Fireteams look super fun
Great to see the Irish community represented! We need to get bigger-er!!!
Looking forward to Infinity forever.
Nice one!
If there releasing the rules on the 18t November, would that include a how to play series. Infinity gets talked about in very positive terms and has bee around a while, and great to have a lore box set strater. But something more accessible for playing?
You’ll see some gameplay towards the end of the week but we might (wink wink) be coming back with some more in the near future to help newcomers.
