Stormcast Eternals Battletome & More Pre-Orders This Weekend
October 8, 2024 by brennon
This weekend sees pre-orders go live for the new edition Stormcast Eternals for Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. You'll be able to get your hands on the new Battletome, a suite of new miniatures and terrain as well from Games Workshop and your friendly local gaming stores.
Battletome: Stormcast Eternals // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
Firstly, the new Battletome for the Stormcast Eternals. Much like with the new Skaven Battletome, it comes with updated lore and more perspectives on the unfolding narrative within Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. You'll also find your new Battle Traits and Battle Formations and the Path To Glory rules for making a more bespoke narrative with your Stormcast Eternals. At the heart of this is also all of the new rules and information on the Ruination Chamber and their role within Sigmar's army of the chosen.
You will also be able to order the limited-run Gamer's Edition of the Battletome which comes in a smaller format and with the Warscroll Cards.

Just a reminder that if you don't mind the larger size, the regular Battletome and Warscroll Cards come in cheaper than the single Gamer's Edition set from Games Workshop if you buy via independent stockists.
If you want to get your hands on the Warscroll Cards separately, they are available in a separate set and you can also get yourself some themed dice as well. I have some of the dice already so I can show my faith in Sigmar with each roll!

All of the bits and bobs that you need to run a Stormcast Eternals army. Much like with the Skaven release, the rules for the Stormcast Eternals in the app will then be locked behind buying the new Battletome (which is a shame) so you'll have to keep that in mind.
New Stormcast Eternals Miniatures
There are a whole host of new miniatures joining the Stormcast Eternals range. A lot of them are focused on the Ruination Chamber and that starts with the mighty Iridan The Witness.
Iridan The Witness // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
Iridan was the first to slay a Stormcast Eternal and spare them the pain of being lost to the storm. Whilst Sigmar was rather miffed, to begin with, Iridan is now seen as a key part of the Ruination Chamber, marshalling the Reclusians in battle and empowering them.
This kit also makes the Lord-Vigilant On Morrgryph which can level up your Lord-Vigilant and give them a mount to ride around the battlefield, slaying the foes of the God-King.

Once a mortal and then dragged into the clutches of Nurgle, Tornus The Redeemed is one of the champions of Sigmar who was given a new chance thanks to Ghal-Maraz. When smote by the hammer, his soul was sent shooting into the heavens to be remade.

He now watches over the Ruination Chamber and guides them through The Mortal Realms. His lantern also helps to keep the shadow from the door. This set also makes the Knight-Azyros so you can go down the unnamed route and tell a mighty tale of your own.

Additional character releases are also coming out which we've all seen in the past as part of other previews. See what you make of the different kits and tell us if you'll be picking up these for yourself...

Lord-Terminos // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar

The Lord-Celestant and Lord-Relictor will be good for those wanting more heroes to lead Regiments. The Lord-Terminos will be another solid option for those looking to build a more Ruination Chamber-focused army.
Returning miniatures from Skaventide will also be making an appearance as regular sets like the Liberators and Prosecutors...

The Reclusians are also getting an updated kit which is different from the one in the Skaventide set and comes with alternative build options.
Reclusians // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
The set comes with your Reclusians, elite warriors able to shrug off incoming magical attacks and more, as well as the Memorians that ground them and keep the Stormcast from slipping off into the storm.
A new set of cavalry miniatures are also on the way in the form of the Stormstrike Palladors.
Stormstrike Palladors // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
This gives you options for making your Stormstrike Palladors with banner bearer, champion and musician and then if you reinforce them, you'll have a solid unit that can clash into the ranks of the enemy, driving them from their field.
Some returning miniatures with a focus on spellcasting are also coming back as a separate set. The Stormcoven can bless your allies and curse your enemies.

Randomly as well, the Lord-Imperatant & Knight-Arcanum are going to be available for you to get in new boxed sets so you can command your host to the right place on the battlefield and manage pesky manifestations.

If you are in need of some new faction terrain, you can also get the rather hefty-looking Stormreach Portal.
Stormreach Portal // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
As well as being a decent-looking piece of terrain (it looks better from this perspective!) it can also teleport units of Stormcast Eternals across the battlefield to distant objectives. A handy piece of faction terrain to sit at the back of your army.
Phew, that's a lot of Stormcast Eternals stuff. I wonder how much of this I am going to end up picking up and adding to my army.

I like the portal thingy.
That portal thingy looks a hell like the Skyrim DLC Dawnguard portals. Wayshrines.
