The Dark Mechanicum Come To The Horus Heresy: Legions Imperialis
October 7, 2024 by brennon
If you liked the look of the new Mechanicum miniatures for 8mm wargame, Warhammer: The Horus Heresy - Legions Imperialis, but wanted to go "heavy metal" with it, maybe you could instead be tempted by the Dark Mechanicum and their machinations?

The Rise Of The Dark Mechanicum will be the next book for Legions Imperialis and as you might have guessed, it covers army lists for both the Mechanicum Taghmata and the Dark Mechanicum. You will also find formations for the Collegia Titanica and Questoris Familia.
Adding to the Dark Mechanicum forces, you can also get miniatures representing the terrifying Serperos "Overlord" Heavy Stalkers.

These spindly walkers are terrible war machines that were deployed by the Dark Mechanicum during The Horus Heresy. They were designed as siege breakers and I sense that they are going to be fun to paint and model. I could see some fun scenic bases built for these.
This is just one of the new war machines that the Dark Mechanicum are going to be bringing to the tabletop in Legions Imperialis. Use these miniatures for playing out the civil war within the Mechanicum and the Doom Of Magma City.
Are you going to be choosing the Dark Mechanicum in Legions Imperialis? This is the first time we've really seen them on the tabletop!

spider-bot, spider-bot, does what ever spider-bot wants. *humms*
I really like these ‘not Cryx Kraken Behemoth’ miniatures.😒
Cryx was the first thing I saw, too. Very similar.
Keen to see what the rest of the army, Dark Mechanicum should be another fun one
Looks neat, will be interested to see more.
Très jolie d’ailleurs ça ira très bien avec mes spaces marines nightlord , vivement la suite.
