Warhammer Age Of Sigmar's next faction to see a Battletome after Stormcast Eternals will be the Slaves To Darkness. If you're going with the heavily armoured servants of Archaeon or the marauders of the Darkoath, there will be options within the new book from Games Workshop.

Battletome: Slaves To Darkness // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar

The new Battletome comes with expanded lore and background for the Slaves To Darkness. The writers of these Battletomes have recently been looking to give wargamers more insight into factions and so you'll find stories within told from particular perspectives. In this case, Gunnar Brand, the famous Darkoath Warchief from the Warhammer TV animation and book by Black Library. It will be good to see the forces of Chaos through the lens of one using the power of Chaos whilst also resisting its urge to dive deeper.

You will also find additional Path To Glory rules within so you'll be able to tell the dark tale of your fledgling Chaos Champion as they ascend to Daemonhood.

One such option for a character to lead the way might be this new Chaos Sorcerer Lord which will come out alongside the Battletome.

This fellow comes with a couple of head options and ways for you to change up the top of his staff as well. I quite like the skull helm design as it reminds me of Chaos Warriors of old. I like the more shamanistic look to the character too, perhaps a nod to their past within the tribes before they donned the heavy armour of the Chaos Warriors.

You can already dive into a Spearhead for the Slaves To Darkness but this new Battletome gives you a chance to perhaps start out as the Darkoath instead.

The Darkoath Warqueen leads the way backed up by ten Darkoath Marauders and ten Darkoath Savagers. The Spearhead is then completed by five Darkoath Fellriders who will be there to charge down your enemies once your Marauders have locked them in place.

If you've been tempted by the Darkoath in the past, this might be a good way for you to dip your toe into the faction without having to buy a full army.

Are you going to be trying out the Slaves To Darkness in the new edition of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar?
