Steel Fist Miniatures Samurai Lords Kickstarter Ending Soon!
March 3, 2015 by brennon
Steel Fist Miniatures have been running a pretty neat but small Kickstarter for a collection of Samurai Lords and it's ending today BUT you can still get in before it ends...
As well as the miniatures you can see here they have looked to add a whole bunch of additional heroes from the Samurai age for you to take to the historical battlefield. I reckon that Lloyd would love to check out some of these mighty warriors and tactical geniuses.
As well as the various Lords they've worked on some infantry pieces as well but the main focus are these Lords. It's crazy seeing the amount of different in the styles of armour and such between people in such a small country. It's pretty impressive.
Do you play any wargames from the world of feudal Japan?

These are all quite unique, and work well as warlords when mixed in with the massed troops of other companies. Love the idea of getting into some feudal Japan wargames, but I think I would be kicked to the curb if I picked up yet another obsession.
Those look rather good.
I just love the diversity of Daimyo armour. 🙂
Wow. Mori Hidemoto must’ve had amazing balance to keep that helmet from falling off!
I would if I could find a rule set that captured the feel of Medieval Japanese warfare.
@huscarle have you looked at ronin by osprey? Seems fairly solid but don’t know enough to say if it meets the feel of the period.
I haven’t found one I like for Sengoku period warfare. I have the army ready and waiting.
No I haven’t tried it I thought it was skirmish based. Osprey rules are pretty good value so it won’t hurt to have a look. While I like skirmish games I fancy doing something a bit grander. like @redben I would like to do something in the Sengoku period. The Takeda have captured my imagination for quite a while.with their cavalry charges.
@huscarle it is skirmish based. Sorry my knowledge of samuri warfare is terribly limited, so not aware of scale of conflicts, and never really looked beyond playing Shogun the MB boardgame
@dags then you have a whole wealth of fascinating history and inspiration for games still to discover. I’m quite Jealous 🙂
