Wargames Atlantic Tease 10mm Classic Fantasy Battles & More!
October 4, 2024 by brennon
Wargames Atlantic dropped a bunch of news covering a new game and miniatures range and ways for you to get your hands on more of their miniatures from Atlantic Digital. We start with the news about 10mm Classic Fantasy Battles!
Classic Fantasy Battles // Wargames Atlantic
Previews from a few weeks ago showed off some of the 10mm Orcs they have had in the works. There are also whispers of Dwarves joining the range which has made me rather happy indeed. These are going to be the first sets that will be covering the grand mass battle scale game that Wargames Atlantic has been working on, Classic Fantasy Battles.
Throughout the rest of this year and into next year, Wargames Atlantic will be previewing what they have been working on including hard plastic miniatures for various factions, the core rules, scenarios to play, army lists and more.
Since Wargames Atlantic doesn't do things by halves, there are going to be "at least ten factions in hard plastic" which can be used to build your armies. That is a lot! We are very eager to see what the team have planned!
Wargames Atlantic + Strange Plastic
As well as the news about Classic Fantasy Battles, Wargames Atlantic has also partnered up with Strange Plastic and Josh Qualtieri who are going to offer physical versions of their current Atlantic Digital collection for you to snap up.
Strange Plastic
If you're someone who doesn't have access to a 3D Printer and doesn't want to go the Only-Games route, you can instead check out the large selection of miniatures from Strange Plastic and get them printed off and shipped to you by these lovely fellows.
A vast variety of options are available for their Historical ranges as well as their Sci-Fi and Fantasy collections. The miniatures are shipped from two (soon to be three) different locations around the world. You can find out about the different shipping costs HERE when it comes to getting your physical miniatures to your door.
What do you make of the news?!

Warhammer the Old World just got a lot cooler to do!
I did enjoy the Old World as setting, but it was so expensive to do big armies that I had to proxy back in the WFB 2nd edition days.
Now I may have more money, but GW makes everything so expensive.
But the prospect of playing at 10mm is very appealing and a lot cheaper. But I would like some warmachines and battle wizards for my armies, so here’s hoping…
Yes – agreed; the return to the Old World is a good thing, but the re-investment in kit is killing me. And the “made-to-order” system is annoying – FOMO and limited release does not always coincide with my ability or desire to spend.
I’m considering a 3D printer seriously as a result of Old World, and being able to get a bulk of minis from say Wargames Atlantic and then add the big monsters and machines, makes sense to me.
Tiny tiny fighting men?
More mass battle games the merrier, imho!
10mm hard plastic fantasy kits is a great idea. I like 3d printing fine enough for putting together Warmaster/Fantastic Battles armies etc but proper hard plastic kits would be much more durable to work with.
The big question is what are the ten? Orcs, dwarves, elves, human, rat people, lizard people, undead, demons, ogres… that’s just the basic flavours we see most often. Will we get Wargames Atlantic doing their Conquistador Ogres in 10mm? The mind boggles as the heart races XD
Lots to be excited about with this Jill!
If they do Elves that I can easily slot into Warmaster or their Landschnekt Orges then I am *all* in.
