Steamforged Preview Miniatures For Strangelight Workshop RPG
July 22, 2024 by brennon
Steamforged Games is closing in on the launch of their Kickstarter for Iron Kingdoms: Strangelight Workshop, a 5th Edition standalone roleplaying game set against the backdrop of occult investigations in the world of the Iron Kingdoms. Alongside the book, you'll also be able to get miniatures...
Caller // Strangelight Workshop
These miniatures will be available alongside the roleplaying game for you to use when representing your character on the tabletop. You might like the Caller for example who have a connection to the world beyond. They are able to commune and calm the spirits of the dead which sounds like a good idea when you're hunting spooks.
The second of the character miniatures previewed is for the Jammer.
Jammer // Strangelight Workshop
A Jammer can punch ghosts in the face if the Caller doesn't manage to do their job properly. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on ghost. I really like the look of this fellow, clad in protective gear and ready to lay out any spectre. There is something distinctly BPRD about this fellow and that's only a good thing.
The last of the previewed miniatures (for now) is the Mechanik.
Mechanik // Strangelight Workshop
The previous characters need handy technology to get the job done. That's where you'd come in as a Mechanik. They are able to craft strange, eldritch devices that could capture the spirits of the dead or blast a terrifying monster to heaps of ectoplasm.
All of these characters, taken from the iconic fellows below, will be included as part of various pledges. I did say that it would be awesome if Steamforged Games added miniatures into the mix, especially with their work on Epic Encounters, and I hope this is just the start.

If you're into exploring the Iron Kingdoms but with a different slant to it, make sure to keep an eye out for Strangelight Workshop: Otherworld And Occult Roleplaying which will be coming soon. I also wonder if Steamforged might end up making this crew into a unit or set of characters for use in Warmachine. That would be cool!
Will you be checking out the Strangelight Workshop roleplaying game Kickstarter?

This looks really interesting, and the miniatures look great. The Caller miniature though looks like it has a really big smiling face on the mask – hard to unsee since I misinterpreted it that way!
Following this on Kickstarter as it looks really intriguing.
Oh no, cannot unsee!
I do like the minis… they remind me a little of those in the Tannhauser boardgame.
And the setting is interesting… however… I’m done with 5e.
