Any idea if the cheapest one includes the core rules that can be downloaded as pdf?
It doesn’t look like the handbooks in the Introductory Set and Starter Set are physical core rules as presented in the PDFs although it’s not particularly clear in the blurb from GW.
It does annoy me when GW describe a piece of printed paper as a “gaming mat”. It’s so thin it can’t be called card, and certainly isn’t the kind of thing you see available from other vendors who advertise “gaming mats” for sale.
Should be up for a trade descriptions complaint really, why can’t they just describe it as a “paper play area” instead?
CGL does the same with the Battletech boxes though they do make it very clear that they are paper maps and they are double sided. Paper mats are alright but advertising as “gaming mats” is a stretch
Starter Sets are a great way to get involved with a new game.
