TTCombat Tease Dropfleet Commander 2.0 Coming Soon!

TTCombat teased over the weekend that Dropfleet Commander will be getting a new edition later this year. 2024 will be the year of Dropfleet Commander 2.0 offering up a new way for you to dive into their tactical Sci-Fi game of ship-to-ship combat.

We've not seen much beyond the teaser trailer at the moment but I would imagine that we will see a brand new rulebook featuring tweaks to the mechanics as well as some new surprises for the different factions. I would also guess that we'll get a new Starter Set so people have a brand new (and easy) entry point into the game.

What we did get was a Faction Focus for a new force coming to Dropfleet Commander (and then most likely Dropzone Commander and Striketeam Commander in the future). The Bioficers are on the way.

Despite having some large collections of the fantastic ships I’ve never actually got around to playing DFC with them, instead using them for a whole host of other games so I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes! A whole new faction to play too!

Hope this follows the way dropfleet got a new edition. It did not invalidate my army and gave us new fluff.
I don’t play as often as I want, but would immidiatly buy the book for the fluff alone in that case.

@hobbyhub works fine for me. Maybe you have some ad blocker running or script suppression?
Hope that they diversify the mission set so that not everything revolves around securing dropsites with the occasional station to secure. Then I would happily come back to DFC.
