Victrix’s 28mm Medieval Knights Available To Pre-Order!
June 12, 2024 by brennon
Victrix are now taking pre-orders for their new 28mm plastic Medieval Knights which are no doubt going to become a fixture of many, many Historical armies.
Medieval Knights // Victrix
The set comes with options to build eighteen Medieval Knights resembling knights from the Late 12th Century through to the Mid-13th Century. This is mainly due to the variety of helmets in the set which come with barrel helms, great helms and sugar loaf helms depending on what kind of army you want to build. Tie this in with the options for shields and you've got plenty of ways to build Medieval Knights for all manner of European powers.
Medieval Knights Sprue // Victrix
As Victrix has mentioned, these bits are useful for creating Knights (and Men-At-Arms) that would have been fighting as part of the Crusades but also The Barons' War and the multitude of conflicts that burst into being across Feudal Europe between competing powers.
Medieval Knights Horses Sprue // Victrix
This set looks nice and simple to put together which is handy. You'll also note that Victrix's tried and tested dynamism is on show here as well with all of the riders charging into the heart of battle. No one is just cantering around here! You've got plenty of ways to build these Knights at the moment before they crash into a wall of infantry.
Medieval Knights (Painted) // Victrix
Weapon-wise, the set features lances by the bucketful as well as axes, maces and swords. You also get swords in scabbards for those knights that you're arming with lances so they have a weapon to fight with when they get up close and personal.
Medieval Knights (Painted) // Victrix
I think this is a great set and as mentioned at the start of this piece, these will find their way into a mass of armies. You could combine these with the Medieval Foot Knights from Wargames Atlantic and get yourself a fairly extensive force for the likes of The Barons' War easily.
Could you be tempted to pre-order these new Medieval Knights?

I’m not sure this is the best offering I’ve seen from Victrix. Maybe it’s the painting? Maybe they’re trying to cover too broad a period of time? Got the email for this to pre-order (20% off!), and although I usually take Victrix up on that, this one was a miss for me.
Yeah and its like the 4th or 5th knight cavalry set on the market for that era as well. that said 18 riders with that weapon selection is not a bad deal at $44.00 considering fireforge, though I think the best deal is Conquest games 16 knights at $30 to $25 and someone who bought them they look great (it has pretty awesome command sprue with a falconer pose).
I think I care less for budget (price/rider) than quality of kit. I would gladly pay more for a spectacular kit, with loads of poses and options. This one just seems … bland. The horses especially are uninspiring – to me.
