It was announced yesterday that Steamforged Games will carry forward the Iron Kingdoms and Warmachine library. This also includes Warcaster: Neo-Mechanika, Riot Quest, Bodgers and all of the other board and card games associated with the world of Immoren. Steamforged Games will also lead the Formula P3 hobby range.

Privateer Press shared their statement HERE but here is a snippet...

"It is with great excitement that we are announcing that Steamforged Games has acquired the Iron Kingdoms/Warmachine library of properties, including Warcaster: Neo-Mechanika, Riot Quest, Bodgers, and all associated board game, card game and fiction titles, as well as the Formula P3 hobby products line. Going forward, Privateer will continue to partner with Steamforged Games to develop Warmachine, the Iron Kingdoms RPG, and future products based on the vast intellectual property library that has sprung from the Iron Kingdoms. Privateer will also continue to manufacture Warmachine models while working with Steamforged Games to expand the materials the products are offered in as well as increasing availability in markets where Warmachine is not widely accessible."

One of the major factors that Privateer Press stated for the change is that Steamforged Games has the resources and infrastructure to carry Warmachine forward into a new phase. Privateer Press did say that they will still be working with Steamforged Games on Warmachine and related products so they will still be part of the process.

Steamforged Games also shared a statement on the acquisition HERE...

"From Rich Loxam, our CEO and Founder: “This is a perfect, logical fit for us. Almost every aspect of Steamforged’s history can be traced back to Warmachine in some way or another. Both Mat Hart and I are Warmachine players, and Warmachine was actually a key inspiration for us creating Guild Ball, with its incredible world and well-designed gameplay. We couldn't be more excited to bring our experience and infrastructure to the table to take Warmachine into its next era.”

The ranges for both the Iron Kingdoms RPG and Warmachine will be the first to transition over to the Steamforged Games website. Ranges like the Formula P3 Paints, Warcaster, Riot Quest and more will be discussed in more detail later this week.
