I've reworked this vignette quite a bit from the piece I took to Hammerhead. Key areas are the base and shields and shoes where I added some Vallejo thick mud which I later tinted with Liquitex Burnt Umber Ink. I worked on most of the armour, helmets and shields redifining shadows with blue/black ink and highlighting with Vallejo Model Air Chrome.I also added more highlights to the cloth areas and improved the look of the leather. The base was improved by adding a blood drop and ripples on the water whilst I also deepened the depth of the ditch. I used Vallejo Still Water, AK Water Gell Transparent and GW Blood For The Blood God to achieve these 'water' effects. I've reworked this vignette quite a bit from the piece I took to Hammerhead. The figures are all by Victrix Miniatures. I converted the Saxon floundering in the ditch and the Viking with two axes.
