‘Ola CoGs and OTTers! Happy Sunday Backstagers!
I started painting many many moons ago with the little metal airfix pots – with the prise open lids – before discovering games workshop hexagonal pots when the store opened in cardiff. It was the move to army painter and the drop bottles they used that really made a huge difference. It led me to using a wet pallet and I immediately moved the games workshop paints from the silly little dome pots to dropper bottles complete with glass ball. They last far longer and are just easier all round with little waste. Love my army painter paints, great wide… Read more »
If you’re a gamer, you don’t need this much hobby paint. Realistically, at three feet away, you lose the details of the mini, and you’re concentrating on the game, not the miniatures. Gamers, especially those who don’t like to paint (ahem), need speed to paint, usually a whole lot of miniatures (thanks, KS). Still should try Speedpaints. Here’s what I use: 0. Mr. Dissolved Putty. Not the best putty, but easy to use. No kneading. 1. Colored primers, applied with a brush. 2. Craft paints and washes. 3. Hobby paints for details. 4. Felt pen for the side of the… Read more »
Happy Sunday! I picked up the complete Fanatic set for exactly the reason Warren was describing – having the whole range unlocks choice, and helps reduce creative blocks. Only played with some greens so far (I’m waiting to move into my new hobby room and get them all set up on the wall) but they work as described – a HUGE improvement over the previous Warpaints.
Happy Spring Sunday COGz an OTTers ?
As long as thay ding his dong ??
I love the smell of napalm in the bassment ? @warzan

Happy SUNDAY…….well now that i have retired from work i have no excuse not to get involved in the spring time challenge, so will go a hunting in my pile of opportunity to see what will be my challenge, so time to dust off the old paint brushes and try out the new Harder & Steenbeck ultra 2024 which was bought has my retirement gift by my other half, I wonder if i could get my kids to buy the army painter set does look temping.
Happy Sunday. Congrats to the golden button winners, 3 very nice projects there. I’m currently in the process of digging out some old stuff to see what to do for the Spring Clean Challenge. It’s looking to be either repainting some very old remnants of my old Undead and Dwarfs Warhammer armies (the stuff I kept after selling off the rest) or cracking on with a very alien looking woodelf forest army (all metal of course) I picked up last year but didn’t get around to painted (they’re all prepped and based, most of the bases even have little mushrooms… Read more »

Golden Belly Button? Sounds like a project in the making
Not enough aliens or Warren’s version of history. I also think we the Codebusters segment back, just so we see the fear of God in Ben’s eyes when Warren asks him to solve it…. lol
Dungeons and Lasers pre-painted fundraiser on Gamefound is as close to any lasers I’ll get into lol. Ya the woodburning stuff is so restrictive, and it really is another hobby onto itself.
Great show as always. But a cautionary tale about owning a soft top coupe. I had an MX5 many years ago. The day I got it, I took it for a spin on a lovely sunny Sunday. The traffic on Chiswick Bridge was heavy and I sat there for some time. This wasn’t a problem, the sun was shining, the top was down on my new car and life was good. It wasn’t until I got home later that I realised my head (which has no hair) was a little sore. Closer inspection revealed it was slightly red. The following… Read more »
Happy Sunday,in this episode Warren learns that he is not cut out for long space missions by his lonesome.
Justin stands by holding back his raging brilliance (as we learn about lighting and Max Headroom).
We see John’s upcoming armies as he swears he will give up buying more minis for a Mini.
Ben provides mandatory dwarf action and puns worthy of our favorite German
Impressed with the paint set. I’d not paid much attention to it, thinking there’s so much new paint around and I have plenty of old paint already.
I’m listening while using Foundry triads on some cultists – I do love a triad – so the system side of this is really ticking some boxes for me.
