Sent by Nagash to secure bones for the neverending tithe and relics found within the Gnarlwood we have the Teratic Cohort. This cohort is led by the Kavalos Centari who has been fused together out of a Liege-Kavalos and their former steed.
Teratic Cohorts Warband // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar - Warcry
They are sent out into battle alongside the Mortek Cykloptians, Teratic Prowlers and the Aviarch Harpies. It's a wonderfully messy mix of bones and something of a mockery of life, probably exactly what Nagash wanted!
They are going to find themselves warring against the Twistweald which is a collective of Sylvaneth that have been infected by something that has deeply wormed its way into their core.
Twistweald // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Warcry
These poor souls have been driven mad by the parasites that have infected their bodies and now they find themselves pushing obsessively towards the Everspring Swathe in search of Alarielle's healing. This warband is led by the Swarmsage who is watched over by the Twistroot Wardens and a cadre of Twistwood Revenants and Dryads.

You'll also get some ace Twistwood Spite Revenants to help complete the mixture of Sylvaneth units with something "a bit wrong" with them.
The special piece of terrain for this set is the Ravening Gnarloak.
Ravening Gnarloak // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Warcry
As you might have guessed, this particular Gnarloak has become rather feisty and has now decided to head off in search of food rather than sitting still, rooted to the spot. This will come with special scenario-specific rules as part of the Briar And Bone boxed set.
Briar And Bone // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Warcry
Briar And Bone is going to be available later this year and if it's anything like the existing sets, there will be options for you to add these warbands into your growing Warhammer Age Of Sigmar armies as well.
Could you be tempted by this new set and if so, which warband would you go for?

That Ravening Gnarloak looks good
Looks like it has butts for knuckles. Blame Crispin for that image thought.
Meh! The Gnarloak looks OK…..
I love Warcry and have every warcry they’ve released, but I moght skip these.
Looks like the Teratic Cohort was spat out of Midjourney or some such program. It’s better to look at the YouTube videos of 40k as an 80s movie.
The Twistweald look like they were inspired by Werner Klocke’s Chaos Sorceress from way back in the day.
Nah, not a fan of the release.
Real marmite models, this release clearly! For me, I love them all and will definitely be picking up this box. The bone doggos are ace – and it looks like they can have horns as an option. That lumbering Gnarloak is fab
