Seems like the Discworld discussion would be really nice for a round table discussion. Maybe having read the novels only translated left some aspects hard to get but I doubt that. I personally just don’t feel adept enough to create a game/story that I would think worthy of calling it “discworld”.

Example: When Vimes almost goes mental in “Thud!” while he’s underground only thinking of being late for the reading of “Where’s my cow?” to his son despite himself being in grave danger it is still funny when he jells all that what he usually reads and scares the living rock out of the dwarves. That scene hit me on so many levels (maybe because I’m a dad too) that I can only take my hat and bow to the person who had written that.

I’d love to see someone make it work (maybe Rhianna Pratchett can do it) but I can’t really see a way how.

But then again that’s why I am only a gamer not a creator. And also a lousy GM. I paint minis and I throw dice. 🙂
