Warhammer 40,000 Kroot Hunting Pack Pre-Orders This Weekend

Games Workshop are taking pre-orders for the new Kroot Hunting Pack - T'au Empire Army Set this weekend. If you're looking to stalk your prey and consume their biomass so that you can evolve into an even deadlier hunter, you'll want to be scooping this up for Warhammer 40,000.

This set comes with all new plastic 28mm Kroot miniatures for your to use as part of a T'au Empire army or as their own force entirely. The set comes with twenty new Kroot Carnivores, a Krootox Rider, a Kroot War Shaper and a set of three Kroot Rampagers. You've got almost as many new miniatures for the Kroot as you do the entire Leagues Of Votann army.

This set also comes with a limited edition Codex: T'au Empire which features all of the most up-to-date rules for the T'au. Yes, even the blue ones in their battlesuits. You also get a pack of Army Rule Cards, a Drone Rules Card, four Combat Patrol Datasheets and thirty-eight T'au Empire Datasheets.

It's neat that the Kroot are going to be getting themselves their own themed Combat Patrol out of this box. It means that you can play with them right away against other Combat Patrol forces for the different factions of Warhammer 40,000.

It will be fascinating to see how many people end up picking up this Army Set just for the Codex. It seems very odd to have bundled it up with the Kroot which might not be the focus of a lot of T'au players. Still, maybe it will have them looking at playing games in a different way using these alien auxiliaries.
